Dr. Ricardo is a wonderful surgeon. She sits down and explains everything very thoroughly. She is very direct and clear. I appreciate that she would call me with every test result also. I have not experienced that with most doctors. Her CST/MA, Patricia, is great also. Very kind and helpful with any questions and emails. Both, Dr. Ricardo and/or Patricia, respond quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Ricardo to others. I feel her patients are in great hands.

As a Surgeon she is ok, I had 3 Known Tumors and she only removed 2 and 3 years later that 3rd one she left grew rapidly and I had to have Another surgery to remove it! I will Never understand that reasoning? After removing & replacing my nipple Dr Ricardo stated I Only needed Tylenol! I understand being afraid to prescribe pain pills but when your nipple has been Dissected it definitely is pain pill worthy!!!

The best doctor I ever had in my life! I Love Dr. Ricardo she is a great Breast Surgeon and she explains everything to you and she doesn't rush you out of her office like some doctors do and she is very nice and treats you like you are special, So glad she is my doctor! Upon receiving a cancer positive result from my breast biopsy report, I was advised by my doctor sister to immediately see Dr. Arlene Ricardo. I was so glad that I took my sister’s advice to come to Houston (from Dallas) and have Dr. Ricardo to care and treat my breast cancer. Dr. Ricardo is an outstanding and extremely experienced surgeon. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. Her assistant Patricia is also very friendly and helpful. During my first visit with Dr. Ricardo, I was so impressed with her clear/educative explanations of my mammogram/ultrasound/biopsy/MRI reports and the treatment plans. Unlike most doctors in this universe, Dr. Ricardo uses simple plain English and simple visual hand drawings to CLEARLY present to patients the medical problems and solutions. It’s gifted talent that Dr. Ricardo can write and draw things in opposite/reserve direction, and best of all, make good uses of this ability along with her verbal skills to effectively communicate and educate patients. On my first meeting with Dr. Ricardo, I knew I had come to the right place where I could rest all of my concerns and worries at once. Million thanks to Dr. Ricardo for a successful, smooth, and painless lumpectomy surgery, and a good recommendation of the radiation oncologist (Dr. Julia Oh). I’m now done with the radiation therapies and doing very well on reaching my “cancer free” target.

Dr. Ricardo has been truly a ray of light during a difficult battle with cancer. On my first appointment she was kind, patient, and took great care in explaining what to expect. When it was time for surgery she was again, calm, patient, and always full of information. The ladies in her office are helpful, I never wait more than a few minutes, and I always leave informed. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
