Extremely disappointed with the customer service from Owner Rick Wrabel he was very rude and dismissive and completely uninterested in helping me communication was very terrible and unprofessional. its disappointing to see a business owner treat customers with so little to no respect I wouldn't recommend this company.

I used this company for a few months after my mother got out of the hospital + needed some extra care (she lives in Houston). My goal was to have compassionate, consistent, empathetic care - particularly for the prices they charge. Initially, the owner, Rudy, came out to meet with myself + my mom, saying that he wanted to do so to orchestrate a good match, which was lovely. Unfortunately - the "matches" (multiple) we had over the following months simply did not align with what Rudy projected. Almost daily, we had a different person show up, with varying values + levels of investment in their jobs. One young woman was even filling out applications on her phone for additional jobs while she was at my mother's house. Another told me (after I saw urine on the toilet seat + asked her about it) - that none of the caregivers ever sit down on the toilets, that they all squat when they use them. I was shocked, on so many levels, actually - that I didn't really know how to respond. So I ordered disposable toilet seat covers for them to use (I don't know if they did?). Another told me - that even though we were being charged $40/hr, she was only making $12/hr, which wasn't the explanation Rudy had given us to begin with. He gave us the impression that the higher the rate, the more the caregivers would be paid. Apparently not - this caregiver shared this information with me completely unsolicited. There was one woman who felt safe to me, but for the most part, I didn't even feel safe leaving my mother alone with them, which is kind of the whole point. Overall, while they did fill in until I could find a reliable, stable CNA via another source, this company's network of caregivers felt like a mishmash of untrained, somewhat uncommitted, unprofessional (for the most part), people - who were just there trying to get a paycheck for the moment. It was off-putting + uncomfortable. I'm sure it's challenging to find people who really, authentically care + want to be there doing this job... but - honesty is important, integrity is key. Those ingredients inform the entire experience, it seems.

At Your Side care partners took care of my mother for several months. She suffered from dementia and they were patient and respectful at all times. The office is very responsive to any family concerns.

I would not recommend this agency. They conducted a very detailed evaluation of my father’s needs, yet the caregivers sent to our home were not adequately qualified to provide the level of care required. My father is bed-bound following a severe stroke and has swallowing difficulties, which require attentive, skilled care. Unfortunately, one caregiver failed to properly change him and spent much of the time sleeping. My father is prone to UTIs, so hygiene is critical. Feeding was also minimal, and basic meal preparation (such as oatmeal) was an issue. When concerns were raised, there was little accountability and an overall defensive response. A second caregiver was unable to perform essential tasks independently, including changing my father and properly managing blood sugar monitoring. This experience was stressful and disappointing, especially given the vulnerability of patients requiring this type of care.

Being a full time care giver is so rewarding but can be incredibly stressful and taxing. At Your Side Home Care has been an incredible partner in helping facilitate care for my grandmother. The scheduling team has worked with me to seamlessly schedule last minute care and always provides caregivers that make our entire family feel comfortable, supported and cared for.
