I visited Dr.Maximos for a hand injury that occurred when I was helping out my brother move out. I jammed my hand with a fire extinguisher….moral of the story don’t help any one move out lol. Dr. Maximos’ office got me in quick, he was very patient with me, he listened to everything I had to say and has good bed side manner. He’s very professional and great personality. I felt really comfortable. Will for sure see him again for any hand issues. 👏

Being in the Healthcare field for 30 years and in a position of provider education I can say Dr Maximo represents everything a patient could ever hope for in a physician. He truly cares about his patients overall care, well being and end results above anything else. Our paths crossed by chance and I thank God everyday for placing him in my life. My story is complex but briefly put at 49 I was the picture of health and in one day my life turned upside down. For over a year I experienced dizziness, passing out, massive weight loss, and rapidly progressing neuropathy in all 4 limbs. My neuropathy was so bad I had to use a walker and my index finger and thumb in my dominant hand permanently curled. I had been shuffled from hospital to hospital, specialist to specialist with no one being able to figure out why. I was finally diagnosed with severe copper deficiency which is EXTREMELY RARE. Working with my hematologist on that issue I began trying to get my fingers fixed because it had become debilitating. Everyday that passed I was losing more and more function and it was only a matter of time before my other hand started to be affected. Dr Maximo’s was the 4th doctor I reached out to because he was an out of network provider on my insurance plan. I honestly believed when I called I would be told he wouldn’t see me for that reason because so many other doctors had rejected me based on my insurance. I called his office on a Tuesday at 4pm and was told he was out of network but then I was asked why I needed to be seen. During my emotional and desperate explanation I was placed on hold briefly then I was asked if I could be there at 10am the next morning. I felt a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I met Dr Maximo’s the next morning and from there he has done everything in his power to help me. Two days later I had an EMG done then Monday I had my first right hand surgery followed by my left hand 7 days later. Once I had healed the results of my fingers were not corrected so he performed an index finger and thumb nerve and tendon transfer surgery. He is a master at his craft. He cares about his patients and improving their quality of life more than any of the bureaucracy of the Healthcare industry. I can not imagine where I would be had I not seen him. One final comment I’d like to make is his staff I’d equally as professional and caring as he is. From his front office to his assistant you can tell they are all “family” and work to make the patience experience the best it can be ❤️❤️.

Dr. Maximos is the BEST Hand Surgeon in Houston! I truly believe that based upon my personal experience. I contacted Dr. Maximos after I took a fall that resulted in a painful debilitating injury. After my examination I learned that I had a distal radius fracture and would need surgery to repair my broken wrist and forearm bone. The bottom line was that this injury that would not heal properly without surgery and rehabilitation. Definitely not good news, and I was not looking forward to the process. In spite of the dread I was feeling about needing surgery, Dr. Maximos had a friendly, calm and confident demeanor which helped put me at ease. He explained how I could help to bring the swelling down before the surgery and what would take place during surgery. Fast forward to surgery day : I felt totally prepared to have the procedure and wasn't nervous or afraid. His staff took excellent care of me before and after surgery. They also continued to follow up with me during the recovery and rehab period. My end result: Although it seemed impossible a few months ago, the mobility in my wrist, arm and hand are now just as if the injury never happened! Based on my overall experience, I would highly recommend Dr. Maximos to anyone that needs arm/wrist/hand treatment. Thank you Dr. Maximos!
