Dr. Trachtenburg is a great cardiologist! I could not have placed my mom’s care in better hands. He’s attentive, thorough and very knowledgeable. After we switched her care over from another cardiology practice, he took over and there was never a delay in care. Looking for a new cardiologist in Houston, he’s your doc!

Dr. Trachtenburg treated my mother during her four month stay at Houston Methodist in 2019 for advanced heart failure. His kind spirit and attitude gave my mother much comfort and peace every single time he came in her room. Unfortunately, a few of Dr. Trachtenberg's colleagues on the heart failure team failed in bedside manner terribly. When they would bring uncertainty, fear, rudeness, and anxiety in the room, Trachtenburg brought in kindness and hope. He shook her hand and made her feel appreciated and CARED for. I will forever be grateful for the way he spoke to my mother, explained her condition to her, and the respect he gave me as her daughter. He always greeted me, looked me in my eyes, and smiled. There are no words to express what a simple gesture like that does for a person during the most terrifying time of their life. Dr. Trachtenburg, doctors like you give me hope. Doctors like you are few and far between. We need more like you. Thank you for being kind to my mother. She appreciated it more than you will ever know. Dr. Trach!!!!!! I have been with him since the beginning of 2010 and he is definitely the best doctor! He is apart of the Debakey cardiology team at Methodist and he definitely my favorite, shhhh! Haha but he is amazing, understanding, explains things so well and actually cares! Everyone on that team is amazing and caring! I have a special place in my NEW heart for him and I don’t know what I would do without him or his team!
