Out of 5 office visits I saw the Doctor once. I have (had) or was supposed to have a phone visit this morning at 8:30 it is now 9:15 and I’m still waiting I guess a patient’s time isn’t important I have other things to take care of this morning. They also have on of those health apps they can’t even put the results of your test on the app like other doctor offices do. That is what my phone appointment is for and I’m getting charged for it. The Doctor was helpful more expensive than others even with insurance. You have you pay for a phone visit to get your results the same if it was in person. Like I said free from other doctors on their apps or a phone call to tell your results or problem(s) found. The place is a money grabber.
Dr Montgomery truly cares about treating patients with nutrition and modern medicine.. I love his approach to healing the total body. The staff works together as a team.
The food is excellent. It is for those that are on a healthy path. If you prefer greasy fried burgers, you may not like it. I eat there often and feel great!
Have been a patient of Dr. Montgomery for more than 19 years. I have received excellent care and am blessed to have him.My experience with the kitchen has been very good.
I was under the care of Dr. Baxter Montgomery for only 2-3 months. I only saw him twice during that time. The one time I did see him he came in for about 5 minutes and left, only to advise the NP on what he would like to do. I only saw him because I had requested to see him. I'm paying my hard earned money to see him and I expect to see my doctor. Not to mention every time I would go in I would wait almost 2 hours sometimes to go back to the room, then wait another 30 minutes only to see an NP, which each time I came in I saw a different NP. So, there goes your continuity of care down the drain. I am a complex patient because my health issues exist despite my young age. I also had an issue with the fact that my BP's were severely elevated and they continued to throw their meal plan at me that I could not afford and supplements. I ate a strict vegan/raw food meal for almost 2 months with no changes to my BP at all. They never even changed my medications to help lower my BP. The only good that came from going to this office was that Dr. Montgomery can perform/complete any diagnostic testing that a cardiologist would need to do right there in his office. But be careful that also comes a high cost. I don't know if any of his processes have changed, but I do know that you will not feel as though you/the patient is being put first. I say all of this to say the end result. I went 2-3 months with BP's around 150/90 most days, someday the BP was higher and now I have stage 2 kidney disease. High BP is nothing to play with. I have since left him, found another cardiologist who is managing my drugs first, then allowing me to do vegan/raw foods to drop weight and lower my BP on my own. Not dangerously let me walk around with a high BP. They have gotten my creatinine and protein in urine down and my BP's now are around 110/77. I have lost 8 pounds so far in the past month with slow changes to my diet. So, excited to finally be back on track.
Sill waiting on an accurate diagnosis.
Have stumbled on the WHOLE food plant based food that is sooo good for my health. Have eaten there a couple of times and have enjoyed my meals. I saw an flyer for a Boot Camp they are starting in September for 4 weeks. I am signing up to learn more. The cost is worth it compared to poor health, lots of medicine, and surgery. Hope there is room left. Houston try it out.
Food is medicine is the truth known to very few who are down to earth with its realities . He is a sane doctor willing to help people.
The front office staff were great, professional and kind. However, waiting 2+ hours to be seen only to have a brief session, he walks out but doesn't return. This happened twice. I've not received ANY of my lab tests from 2-3 months ago. Not even the stress test, echo, doopler nor the unnecessary and expensive out of network micronutrient test. The patient portal hasn't been updated. My PCP has requested everything, still no results. The back office needs a shake up. I am very disappointed. I use to think highly of the practice, I wonder what changed.
The staff were very nice and polite. I went through all of the procedures recommended to diagnose my conditions. However, the service is very slow and representatives were constantly coming into the room to sell and promote his product. At the time I wasn’t interested in spending nearly $1000 for food. Then I sat and wait for over an hour to see the doctor. It was when I got feed up and decided to leave that he came in to see me.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Montgomery to all. He provides excellent service and care. It is his desire to help you live your best life without concerns about your health. He helps you to adapt to a new food plan that incorporates exercise and stress management. There is a restaurant and food delivery plan to help you. He offers boot camps to help with your life changes and he is patient with you. He makes the difficult easy.
Unprofessional staff, food is awful. They treat patients as a $$$, a number.
Always slow and running behind. Apparently does not sign death certificates in a timely fashion. Our loved one passed 7/31/18, and he STILL HAS NOT signed he death certificate. The office has given us the run around for over 2 weeks. This is unacceptable. We literally cannot do anything to move forward without a death certificate and neither the doctor nor his office staff seem to care. This is beyond ridiculous. I would not recommend this office to anyone I know.
I've lost a good amount of weight . The food they tell you avout can change your life....but you have to stick to the plan. Raw vegan is doable but takes effort and you can see results.
World Class Cardiologist and Chronic Disease specialist.
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!
Office unorganized and unprofessional, ( also less importantly, the aesthetic of the office is long overdue for a remodel and update) No one ever seems to know whats going on.... The doctor was unprepared for follow up visit, having not reviewed my lab tests he ordered a month prior, poor communicator. I updated my review because this doctor is practicing lifestyle medicine. We need more doctors like this but we need them to practice based on our genetics which Dr. Montgomery will do. Dr. Montgomery has good intentions but communication and practice communication need to be improved to a higher level. I am changing my review for this reason.
Dr. Montgomery is a God send. What more can i say. He and his staff are just wonderful. Dr. Montgomery in my book, has superceded any cardiologist out there. That's just my opinion. He is genuinely concerned about his patients and takes an holistic approach to your health. I can truly appreciate that. I just thank God daily for sending Dr. Momtgomery in my and our path. Thank you Dr. Momtgomery. You're the BEST.
Just reading the reviews and listening to him speak with passion has convinced me to want to make contact with him to gain more information
Dr. Baxter lives and puts into practice lifestyle changes, mostly diet, that address many common health issues. If we had more doctors like him health care costs in the U.S. would be less and we would be healthier.
