After waiting months to see a Tinnitus specialist, I was evaluated by a medical student, the Dr looked in each ear and gave me a pamphlet of information available on the internet. No type of testing for pressure or head manuveres and did not address the dizziness or headaches. If you have Tinnitus, don't bother.

Doctors seem good, but billing is crooked. They will send you to collections without ever sending any communication about an unpaid balance to anything except your MyChart. They have my email, phone number, and address. No mail, email, or text about unpaid balance until I received a text from a debt collector.

My experience was horrible, I arrived at the doctors office on time, the male receptionist looked on his computer and said they did not have authorization for the referral. I called my primary doctor office. The office said United waved the authorization until September, so there was no need for it. I waited twenty ,minutes , and I had not heard anything so I went back to the desk to speak to him. He told me at that point, they still need the authorization, or I would have to pay out of pocket. Two days prior to my appointment I got my estimated bill after insurance paid. So how did they get my out of pocket payment if they had not spoken to the insurance company? Other doctor’s offices follow up on insurance. When the Baylor ENT was in the Medical Center the office staff was more professional and they follow up on insurance claims if there were a problem the staff called ahead of time to inform the patient informing them that it was a issue with their insurance. I scheduled the appointment two months prior, I had two months to resolved the issue .

I regret to inform you that my experience with the Baylor Otolaryngologist office was extremely disappointing. The staff exhibited rudeness and a lack of concern for patients. Moreover, crucial appointments were canceled last minute due to unprofessional behavior. Their negligence and carelessness reached an alarming level when they suggested the possibility of a tumor, but then proceeded to cancel the MRI/CT Scan without further notice or referral. A lot of unnecessary anxiety throughout this entire process. Communication was abysmal, and it seemed their primary focus was financial gain rather than patient well-being. I strongly advise seeking alternative healthcare options.

I’ve generally been pleased with the two physicians I have seen, but the practice is poorly managed on the administrative side. Lousy customer service, errors in making appointments, issues with billing, and unsympathetic and standoffish staff. Not worth it, look elsewhere as there are many other quality ENTs in Houston.

If I could give -5 stars I would! If you want your results, DO NOT GO HERE! I was given a referral to Baylor for a balance test…in July. My ENT’s office sent over everything to 4 different fax numbers, as Baylor’s different representatives kept saying they hadn’t received my order or paperwork. Each time my ENT’s office resent everything. This went on until I pretty much forgot about trying to get the appointment. Then in October, yes, October…I spoke to my ENT and they inquired about my test. I advised I hadn’t been contacted by Baylor. After maybe 7 calls, I finally got someone on the phone that said I was in the system and that they had all my paperwork since July. That should have been my first clue to go elsewhere. I didn’t. I went to my appointment, 3 months after it was ordered, and after much stress. The tech was wonderful and polite. I thought this was all behind me and I’d be on my way to knowing what’s going on. Then, came the next issue. My test was done and I had no results. I was advised it would be maybe 3 days and my results would be signed off on and placed in their site, My Chart…as well as sent to my ENT’s office. Well, it’s been 2 weeks and I still have no test results! I was finally able to reach the technician 2 days ago and she advised the results would be in My Chart and sent to my doctor’s office tomorrow morning…close of business at the latest. Well, I waited til 2 days later to check. Nothing! My ENT has nothing and I have nothing. I called back the tech….luckily I got her office number as none of the 10 people I previously spoke to did anything but send interoffice emails to…somebody….that never contacted me. Well the tech tells me the Dr. hasn’t signed off for some reason, she’s in surgery today, maybe clinic tomorrow….and nobody else can sign off. Of note, I never saw this doctor, spoke to this doctor, or even know who this doctor is. Any other doctor should be able to sign off, especially since it’s been 2 weeks! So, if you don’t mind being told by your ENT to go to Baylor, then waiting for 4+ months and counting for the end result… STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE…..minus the technician!

Dr. Olson pre-and post procedure was nothing but helpful as well as the Baylor College of medicine staff has been nothing but welcoming and informative and caring every time I’ve gone in for a visit before and after my procedure
