Heyyyy Heyyy Hey!!!! I must say!! Dr. Akkanti has proven to be one of the very best Pulmonary Doctors in the Houston Area!! My wife had seen multiple Doctors for over a year!! Had several hospitalizations several times!!! With trouble breathing and tightening of the chest!!! We were tested and treated for everything (sometimes different Doctors ran the same test) with no help other than 24 hour steroids and breathing treatments along with a rescue inhaler in between!!Finally a Cardiologist named Dr. Achu (who was the best we had seen previously) admitted that this needed a specialist that was a “Real Doctor” called a friend in New York who recommended a “Real Doctor” at Memorial Herman-Downtown Houston. Oh let me Tell You!!!! She not only was a great Doctor with knowledge!!! She possessed the best People skills we’d ever seen from a person with such high prestige!!! She landed the flight that we’d been on for over a year in just 2 days!!!!!Dr. Akkanti was thorough!!! Methodical!!! Optimistic in the toughest of thoughts for our ideal treatment!!! Exhaustive in explanations!! Punctual with a plan!! And she absolutely nailed it on day 2!!!! My whole family and I praised and applauded her efforts and work!!! And Dr. Akkanti being the awesome humble Doctor that she is!!!!! Simply said I’ll be praying for you guys recovery as you travel down the road!! Words that will ring out to us for a long time to come!!!Dr. Akkanti!!! Thank you!! We appreciate you!!! You are absolutely one of the best at what you do!!! And tremendously unbelievable with the amount of work you put in with your team to do what you do!!!!You’re appreciated!!!!The Lewis Family!!!!!

One of the best intensive care physicians in the area. My father was placed on ECMO and there is no one else that I would have trusted with his care than with Dr.Akkanti. She is brilliant with the most amazing empathetic bedside manner.
