List of Charlene Crockett's Reviews
Dr. Crockett was able to diagnose and correct a prism imbalance in my husband’s eyes. After 5 visits and consultations with other doctors, we were finally referred to her. He can finally drive again without seeing 2 of everything in his peripheral vision. Thank you!!!
If you’re a parent, please do not take your baby to her. She is a very cold and dismissive doctor with her infant patients. She also does not offer much in terms of a diagnosis.
We were referred to her for a pediatric ophthalmology assessment for our daughter. Like someone else said, she’s pretty dismissive and so is her rude office staff. One of her nurses was really kind, however, and easy on our 7 month old baby when checking her eyes. Crockett, did not seem to understand how to work with an infant and offered no diagnosis or feedback after doing an assessment until I started asking questions. She just came off cold and annoyed to see us. I even saw her interact with her office staff and be pretty impatient and rude. I don’t know why she is a doctor is she doesn’t want to deal with people. She referred us to another specialist and for an MRI and I never heard back from either the specialist doctor or clinic to schedule MRI once the referrals were approved. I initially called her office two days after visit to know why they had not sent over referrals after they told me the referrals were sent to the other parties. Basically, they lied to me by telling me the referrals were sent over when really the referrals had to be reviewed internally before being sent over. I waited a month since it was the holidays and no word from specialist or MRI lab. I called Crocketts office again and they told me I needed to schedule appointment with specialist and MRI. Well of course I do, but it helps if you give me their information to begin with instead of telling me they will call me to schedule the appointment and if they had meant over the referral timely. I called them out on their lying. Houston Methodist office staff and doctors are awful. Even trying to schedule a physical therapy appointment with them has been difficult experience—no one can get me the number I need to schedule appointment though the referral is submitted by doctor. If you’re a parent, please don’t take your child to this woman. Even if I was her patient I would never go back to her since she seems dismissive. She just seems like she doesn’t like dealing with patients, which made me feel awful as a mom subjecting my baby to her.
Absolutely terrible. She’s extremely dismissive and has zero bedside manner. Have had to see her 3 times now and essentially she wants proof of my child’s condition despite pictures and videos of the episodes my child has with her eyes. Refuses to provide effective treatment unless my child has an episode in front of her at the office. Wouldn’t waste my time seeing this physician.
Have seen her 3 times now for my infant’s strabismus and she is extremely dismissive and has zero bedside manner. Each visit has been a waste of time as she states she cannot do much unless my child has an episode at the office, which is absolutely ridiculous. I would not waste my time with this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
