Overall I had a great experience with Dr. Baskin and his office staff. I appreciate Gail for promptly arranging my initial appointment with Dr. Baskin just 2 days after I called the office about an abnormality in my brain. I also appreciate Martesa for her communication on all the follow up tests and preop arrangement. Dr. Baskin explained to me thoroughly about my scans. He listened to me and addressed my concerns about the surgery. I could tell he is not only experienced, but also caring to patients. After my initial appointment, I knew I could trust him to perform major surgery on me. I highly recommend him without reservation.

I am grateful for Dr. Baskin who operated on me. When I found out about an abnormality in my brain over a weekend, I immediately looked for a neurosurgeon and called his office on Monday, They promptly arranged for me to see Dr. Baskin via teleconference on Weds. He took his time to review my case and addressed my concerns, After my first appointment, I was certain I have come to the right doctor who cares about his patients and who is an expert in his field. I also appreciate his staff, especially Gail and Martesa, for promptly following up with me . Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Baskin and his office, and I highly recommend him without reservations.

This doctor is the top in his field. He got my life back. No worries. Such a fabulous attitude. So humble. I’m very grateful to him!

Brilliant neurosurgeon and very compassionate and knowledgeable. But I wish he had a better staff who can respond to messages or return calls.

On December 8, 2020 Dr. David Baskin operated on me to remove a Schwannoma at C5 which had been growing for probably two decades. The surgery was a success and I am pain free and was back to full activity a few months after the surgery. My surgery was supposed to be on December 7 but Dr. Baskin postponed it to December 8th so I would be his first and only surgery since he did not want to feel rushed. Almost a year out and that fact still amazes me. I also want to say how impressed I was with Dr. Baskin’s staff and every single employee I met at Houston Methodist during my time there. I am also grateful for the advanced surgical technology the hospital provides Dr. Baskin to perform such a delicate surgery. I have only hyperboles for Dr. Baskin and Houston Methodist. I was able to recommend Dr. Baskin to someone else for the removal of a large spinal tumor 4 months ago and she was just as pleased as I was with the results and the overall experience.

Dr. Baskin removed a spinal tumor from my 89 yo mother last year amid the challenges of the pandemic. Dr. Baskin and his staff were wonderful and my mother went from a wheelchair to being able to walk again. Words can't express how pleased we were from the first contact with Dr. Baskin's office to the final result.

Amazing doctor I was very blessed to be referred to Dr. Baskin. He saved my life by removing grapefruit sized benign tumor from my brain (took two operations due to excessive bleeding). He has excellent bedside manner and takes time to respond via email and in person to answer ANY questions you have and explains things very clearly. Martesa and Julie were great as well. Houston is lucky to have this doctor and staff.

I was suddenly purged from dr. Baskins patient list without explanation! Felt like a small trash fish on a deep sea fishing adventure. No results back to looking for a doctor????
