Dr. Bortuzzo is wonderful. After years of mis- diagnosis, she " thought outside the box" and identified correctly my issue. I am so very grateful for her great care and brilliant mind.
Dr Dominguez is great , but the scheduling process is the worst. Called daily for two weeks. Long hold times. Only once did I connect to someone who then transferred me and the call was lost in the proceess
FIND ANOTHER OFFICE!!! Save yourself the time and trouble of coming here. My visit was with Dr. Krill on May 2 and I still haven't gotten my prescription due to the negligence of Wendy, his medical assistant. She didn't send in the pre-approval form for the medication (which they knew requires extra documentation) until after I called the insurance company to have them fax it to their office. It's been over a week since the insurance denied the claim and I haven't heard back from DHA's office regarding next steps. Every time I try to reach them, an operator answers the phone, puts me on hold while they "try to reach the medical assistant". They come back on the line just to put you on hold again only to tell you that they're not available and will call you back. It's been 3 business days and I haven't heard from anyone. I wish I read the reviews here first because I booked based on Dr. Krill's rating. I never would've have gone here in the first place knowing that their office is understaffed or incompetent. There's no point of going to a good doctor if the office is run poorly, affecting your care/treatment.
Poorly managed, disrespectful, and incompetent. My primary care physician ordered a routine colonoscopy screening and referred me to Dr. Gowrappala S. Ramesh, MD of Digestive Health Associates. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was told a consult was required before the procedure. I explained that this was preventive care and should be covered at no cost. The scheduler assured me it would be fine, so I went ahead and scheduled the consult. I took time off work and drove to the appointment, only to be told at check-in that I'd need to pay $178 for the consult. I reiterated that this was preventive care and shouldn't involve any out-of-pocket cost. The receptionist then informed me I should have been given the option to skip the consult entirely. I was then asked to fill out more paperwork and told someone would call me to schedule the actual procedure--another 5 to 6 weeks out. So not only did I waste a month waiting for a consult I didn't need, but now I'd have to wait another month and a half for the actual screening. I can't imagine how disheartening this would be for someone dealing with more urgent health concerns. Two days later, I received a call from someone named 'Shiela', following a lengthy text. She apologized for the miscommunication, but when I brought up how patients are penalized for no-shows or being late--while providers face no accountability for wasting patients' time, money, and energy--she stumbled through some excuses, then abruptly ended the call. Bottom line: This office does not respect your time, prioritize clear communication, and is hostile. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
I brought in my mother to see Dr. Krill and had the most amazing experience! I want to start off by saying his Medical Assistant Crystal is the BEST she was very nice and polite, she makes sure to always return my moms calls back and makes sure she has all the information needed before getting off the phone, she has never rushed through any phone call and always remains soft spoken and has a lot of patience. Dr. Krill is very helpful he throughly explains everything and answers all of our questions if any. Dr. Krill and Crystal are definitely a dream team!
I would like to share my experience today 03-13-25 with Dr. Dominguez. I had an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy procedure at the same time. It was an excellent experience, but not of everything that Dr. Domingues and Ms. Crystal did for me today. In the short time I had after the procedure, I explained to the doctor my problem with my co-pay with my insurance and the only thing the doctor told me was “Don’t worry, I will talk to my assistant to see how we can help (I had another study for March-14-25) there was no time for changes I thought, but I explained it to my doctor anyway and Ms. Crystal, his assistant, contacted me at 8:30 at the end of my procedure and by 1:45 pm they already solved my problem. I am so happy, tomorrow I will take my CT Scanner, thank you so much Dr. Dominguez and To your lovely Assistant Ms. Crystal, believe me, I will recommend you and I will always be grateful♥️
I tried for 2 weeks to schedule an appointment. If I missed their call I was told to wait for a call back24 to 48 hours. If I call them they were always too busy to talk. They expect me to wait by phone 24 hours in case they called.
I’ve been a patient at this office for a while, and I have to say that my experience with the staff has been incredibly frustrating. Despite being a regular patient, I often find myself having to call multiple times before receiving a response. Emails and calls are rarely returned in a timely manner, if at all. I’ve been promised call-backs that never happen, which causes unnecessary delays in my care. This ongoing issue has resulted in delays with medication approvals, and it's been a serious problem for me. I take Stelara, and when there are long gaps between doses, I have to start the entire process over again with an initial infusion. Missing my medication for months at a time is not only frustrating, it’s impacting my health. While Dr. Krill is an excellent doctor and truly cares about his patients, I cannot say the same for the office’s medical staff. The office seems to be overstaffed with patients, leading to a lack of personalized care and attention. The process feels impersonal, and I can’t help but feel like the quality of care is slipping due to these issues. I hope this review is taken as constructive feedback, as it is not a reflection on Dr. Krill himself, who is an excellent healthcare provider, but rather the medical staff and overall office operations. The staff issues need to be addressed for patients to receive the level of care they deserve. It’s disappointing to see such a great doctor being let down by the systems in place.
My father is a patient of Dr. Dominguez. I met Dr. Dominguez the day of my fathers endoscopy. He explained everything to me and answered all of my questions regarding my dads findings. Unfortunately my dad had his biopsy during the holidays so knowing his results felt ETERNAL but Dr. Dominguez kept communication with me. His medical assitant Crystal is amazing. All of the questions regarding his upcoming appointments, results, and referals, she helped with all of that. I felt so bad the amount of times I reached out but she was so kind and always got back to me. I noticed a lot of the reviews mention how it is hard to communicate to front desk, but usually when you do reach the call center they always get back to you. I whole heartedly recommend this place and especially Dr. Dominguez. Also, the biggest thing for me was that Dr. Dominguez speaks fluent spanish and that was amazing for me since my parents do not speak english.
The administrative staff serving this office is toxic. Based on many reviews that i read this morning, this is well communicated by their patients. . It is very difficult and frustrating to make an appointment. When you call the office you select #2 to make an appointment. Then you get to talk to a receptionist that works from home that advises you, over the sound of a crying baby, to wait for a callback from the staff to schedule. And, oh boy, if you miss the callback, you get to start the process over again as there is no callback number. And if these gate keepers allow you in, you are going to sit in his over crowded office for at least an hour beyond your appointment time. Goodbye Dr. Sun. Life is too short to be treated badly by someone you are paying to treat you with compassion, dignity and mutual respect, all of which are absent by a staff that wears treating you horribly like a badge of honor. But from the many many reviews, it seems like you should already know that.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
