List of Emergency Care Of East Houston's Reviews
I brought my daughter in for nausea, vomiting, and she fainted. The front desk staff was very rude. The nurse never introduced herself, wash her hands, or explain what medications she was putting into my daughter's IV. The radiologist technician came to get my daughter without any explanation of what imaging they were doing and why. The worst beside manner! I was advised that my daughter had a viral infection but was prescribed an antibiotic, the dr didn't even tell me he was prescribing one. You can't treat a virus with an antibiotic, and I'm not the medical professional and even I know this! What a joke! This place feels like it needs to be looked into by the medical review board. do not bring your family to this place!
I’m not even gonna waste my time with these people I called because they did not have ours listed and told the woman that I was going to go ahead and come in. Told her that I wasn’t sure if my insurance was affective but I didn’t mind paying upfront fee which is $175, at that point she just kept repeating well if they order test or images you’re going to have to pay all that money upfront and a CAT scan is $1500 first off I was going there because my pain doctor is out of town and my back is seriously killing me. I wouldn’t go if I didn’t need to, but I told her I’m bringing my images with me a copy of my MRI, the disk and the MRI report. She then told me that that wouldn’t be acceptable and they would have to do their own test. I am I’m sorry am I speaking with the doctor? Oh it just sounds like she doesn’t want to have any kind of work to do. An this is the front desk clerk. A secretary may be a certified nursing assistant (maybe) I’m guessing she just pushes papers though and it’s too hard for her to pick up a pen and a clipboard so I’ll take my business elsewhere and I’ll pay my $175 to another doctor.
I came into the ER on Friday, April 14, 2023, with the fear of a miscarriage. After being taken back to the room, Dr. Shatery came in and told me we were going to do some blood work. A couple hours later he comes in to inform me that I had a UTI and would be starting IV meds and saline. I didn't see him again until after we did an ultrasound and had the results back. At this point he became completely unprofessional. He informed me that they didn't see anything on the ultrasound and that I could be miscarrying, it could be too early to see anything, or it could be an ectopic pregnancy. And if it was an ectopic pregnancy then we would need to get that taken care of quickly. At this point, I was a little teary eyed as I had been trying to get pregnant for a while now and feared the absolute worst after he informed me of this. He told me he was going to discharge me and to follow up with my doctor. When the discharge nurse came into the room she started to tell me everything he had diagnosed me with. None of which he had stated to me prior. When I told her this in between my tears, she decided to bring him back in. He came back in the room, arms crossed, with an attitude and told me I should have been listening to him instead of crying. That was highly uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. At that point I told him he should have told me about all the other issues such as a large cyst and blighted ovum. He told me that he didn't realize he would have to tell me the entire medical book and doesn't have time for that. At this point I told him to get out and that the nurse needs to discharge me. He demanded my respect which he did not get nor did he deserve. Once I told him that he said that I have issues, walked out the door, and slammed it. For a doctor his actions were disgusting and had zero sympathy for someone he's telling no longer has a pregnancy that was severely wanted. I was told that I had NO VIABLE PREGNANCY AND I NEED TO COME TO TERMS WITH IT. My OB says otherwise. I AM pregnant, there isn't any signs of miscarriage, and what he said to me was not okay. This needs to be dealt with as NO ONE should EVER have to be spoken to the way I was. People come to the ERs for all sorts of concerns, problems, and medical needs. To be treated this horribly in a time of intense fear is not okay. I emailed this complaint in a week ago, was given the wrong email for one person, and never heard back from the other.
Terrible phone service. They hung up on us twice.
I called to asked what insurance they accept for my godson to come since he was but by a dog and it was down the street and they never answered after 4 calls they kept hanging up on me
When I call they answer and hang up the phone. I called multiple times and they never answer just dial tone.
I went to emergency care of East Houston and the front desk attendant Miss Adriana Garcia was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. She was able to ease my concerns over billing and went above and beyond to help. My nurse Miss Alicia was also extremely helpful and thorough and made sure that before I left I felt 100% to honorable mentions would have to go to Mr. Marcus who I believe was a CT specialist as well as another CT specialist but I cannot remember his name he was also extremely helpful and took his time with me when I was still feeling queasy. The wait time was next to nonexistent and the care was almost immediate couldn’t ask for better thank you guys so much
I used this place several time for myself and my kids. Never once got turned away. Always very helpful and nice. They even call and check up days after your visit to make sure you're ok.
I had to come in to excellence ER this evening for some G.I. troubles with my tummy. Both of my nurses and techs Clinton and Patrick were both absolutely wonderful. I think this was one of the most efficient and smooth visits I've had at a place like this. Five stars!
Great, courteous, efficient service‼️♥️

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
