Gabriel Rodriguez's Online Review Report Card

First, Dr. Rodriguez and I are not related, despite sharing a last name. He performed an in-office procedure for me 3 years ago. I found him to be extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. I recommend him any chance I get.

I can't understand anyone not giving this doctor 5 stars plus! Easy to work with. Quick patient visit. Out the door with a smile. No residual health issues from my recent hospital stay. Thanks, Doc!

Had an appointment scheduled for over a month. Got in a few late due to traffic on 146 and was told by the receptionist that I had to re-schedule which would be another month out just for a consultation. I ended up making an appointment with another clinic down the street for the next day.

I have desperately been been trying to find a urologist that will take the time to listen to me, and not only assist me with my immediate needs, but also be pro-active on a preventative care plan moving forward and I finally got that with Dr. Rodriguez. I was lucky enough to not only get the most professional and timely care from staff (Mrs. Ebony), but on top of that, Dr. Rodriguez himself has done everything in his power over the course of one week to make sure I was taken care of. He came to visit with me and my family before and after my procedures and he has the most incredible bedside manners of any doctor I have ever met. Thank you all you do and for the comfort and care that you have given me….and I am sure many others!

Personable and professional.

I had an awful experience with Ebany Dr. Rodriguez's nurse. I was recently discharged from UTMB with severe pain in my abdomen. The general idea was that I had a kidney stone stuck in my vesicoureteral junction, but they were unable to identify them on CT. I am in excruciating pain and they asked me to go get my images and take drop them off. So I did. Even still Dr. Rodriguez would not see me in an emergency slot because the images did not show a stone. He didn't care that I was in extreme pain and have had multiple kidney stones in the past. His RN Ebany would not let me explain anything. She just kept talking over me. Telling me that I needed to go back to the ER where I had already been twice with no help. Finally my husband talked to her and she essentially said that if we went to Methodist's ER that they would make a opening for me. So I called UTMB Urology Specialist and they got me an appointment for 8am the next morning. If you are from a different network outside of Methodist do not try to get an emergency visit with Dr. Rodriguez because they do not care how much pain you are in. Ebany especially is nasty to patients. The reason I was referred to him was because the Dr. That saw me at the hospital was friends with his wife. I wish they had just referred me to UTMB from the beginning. I just do not want anyone else going through what I have been through with this office. They wanted me to wait in pain for a month to see Dr. Rodriguez. What awful patient care!

Dr Rodriguez has taken care of me since October 2000 when he was at UTMB Galveston. I consider him almost family as our kids went to grade school together in Galveston. He has performed a few procedures on me in the last 20 years and I have seen him for numerous follow up visits as well. There is no one I could recommend more for a Urologist. He is always considerate and professional and I have known lots of my therapy patients that see him and they all love him.

If you want the best then this is the doctor you want to see. Very caring, professional and polite not to mention hes got a great sense of humor. He took the time to listen to me and then gave plenty of feedback. He and his office staff have done a great job with scheduling appointments that cater to my schedule. Dr. Rodriguez has shown to be much more than just another doctor, he has shown that he cares. I highly recommend him.

I made appointment 2 month ago a day before my appointment they left a massage that they want to talk to me I called back and stay on hold for 37 minutes and no respond so I hung up next day I went to my appointment I got there a lady was siting there look at me without saying Hi or any eye contact said we called you I said yes but I was on hold for 37 minutes and nobody pick the phone she said that is not our business I said so why you called she said I was going to tell you that Dr.is not coming to day he is opening another clinic so I should put you on Friday 11:30 I told her why you didn't tell me yesterday that was not a secret she said we don't say on the phone i came back on Friday and before I writ my name she said Dr. is not here by the time he get here and start first person you looking around 2:30 to 3:30 is that a joke or what ? I can tell this is a most unorganized office and rudest receptionist I ever seen I can not believe is METHODIST .will never ever go back.

Excellent doctor! Dr. Rodriquez has been my urologist for years, and he provides great care. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a urologist.
