04/07/26 11:00am I am filing a complaint about a physician at an emergency room who refused to provide necessary care to my boyfriend. My boyfriend has a history of seizures and requires regular medication to prevent them. He went to the emergency room seeking a refill because he does not currently have access to a primary care doctor due to the high cost of health insurance. During the visit, the screening nurse informed us that it would be up to the doctor to decide whether to provide a prescription. However, when the doctor came in, he refused to refill the medication and argued with my boyfriend. The doctor stated that having a seizure is “not an emergency” and said it was my boyfriend’s fault for not having seen a doctor in the past three years. The doctor denied the refill, and we were also told there was a deposit required on the account, which contributed to the refusal of care. We are very concerned because untreated seizures can be dangerous and life-threatening. Denying medication in this situation put my boyfriend at risk. I am requesting that this incident be reviewed, including the doctor’s conduct, the refusal to provide necessary medication, and the role that financial requirements may have played in denying care. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Wouldn’t recommend a dog on the street to come here. My review is specifically in regards to Dr. Kristen Weibel. Very rude, dismissive & lacks understanding. She refused me care. Despite me stating I would like a chest xray & mri based on the the symptoms I was experiencing, she verbatim said “we’re not doing that because you don’t look like you need it.” She didn’t even examine me, only asked questions to determine “I didn’t need it.” No blood work, no urine test, never even used her stethoscope. To go somewhere else after leaving here & receive proper diagnosis & treatment when according to her I was “fine & just needed to take Tylenol” says a lot. I will not be contacting patient safety department to express my concerns, she will be receiving a lawsuit for refusal of care.
