Today i came here for my eye and the nurse Teresa said this is for emergency I couldn’t get a doctor excuse this place needs to be closed down I will never come back here for a visit I’m I. Pain for my eye with out patients yall would have a job they need to learn to take care of the patient and learn how to treat them anyways God will give you a good job to try you out but once you treat people any kind of way God will take your job tell you learn how to treat his people But I just pray God will help you treat other Good if don’t like your job get a job you like poor service here
Everyone was nice and pleasant, and I was called back to be seen very quickly.
Have been here multiple times due to convenience- I have come to expect convenience-level treatment from HCA overall. The nurses and doctors currently in employ at this location are much lacking in their ability to at least care like they give a shit about their patients. They didn’t ask for my name or offer any sort of greeting at the front desk other than two confused and overworked nurses, one of which completely ignore me (blonde old white lady with a pony tail and tacky glasses) and the other nurse was too busy having to learning a new system that your company changes, what, every six months? So of course she won’t have any capacity for care; in her case I don’t expect her to. The doctor outright lied to me when he said he would make a note on my file that I had requested be put there (news flash- he didn’t, and he won’t because he doesn’t have that ability in the system they’re using- thank you front desk for that clarification) Edit: The doctor didn’t ask for prior medication, nor prior health issues before submitting out a prescription, nope, just let me ramble about symptoms and gave me the tests I requested. So hopefully what I got won’t conflict with my meds. Several years ago that would have been different, I would have been talked to, not talked at, but it seems there is no room left for decency in HCA’s business model - I mean, structure of care. TL;DR- Go to the Montrose Animal Hospital instead; at least there they treat their patients with some level of humanity.
I have never left a negative review on Google before, but I think it’s important that I speak about my experience here in case anyone is considering coming to HCA. I came on a Sunday evening in order to get an eye infection checked out. Wait times were extremely long, and I believe I sat there for about 2 hours to only get looked at by a doctor for a a few minutes. I was also required to do quite a bit of paperwork with a remote representative via video call. The final price for my check-up and eye drop prescription was $300, much higher than any other walk-in emergency clinic I’ve visited before. (For reference, visiting the emergency room by the Target on Shepherd for the same issue cost me under $200). Following this, I was informed by my pharmacy that my medicine required prior authorization. Now this is the fault of my insurance company, not the clinic. However, I then proceeded to call the clinic a total of three times in order to get more clarity on what to do. The first two clinic staff members were unhelpful, telling me that my doctor was not in office today and that I just needed to contact my insurance company. The insurance company, however, then informed me that the clinic had not provided them with the required documentation for my medication yet. When I finally called the clinic a third time, a representative informed me that since they are an “emergency room,” they do not “do prior authorizations” and that I am to call my insurance again and request a supervisor to help me bypass this requirement. This is was the first time anyone told me this. Not wanting to deal with another round of back-and-forth calls and the unreliability of insurance companies (I already anticipated them saying no), I’ve decided to pay out of pocket so I can get my medication before my infection gets worse. I am grateful that my medication is not a case of life or death, and that I can afford to pay out of pocket. I can’t imagine how frustrating and upsetting an experience like this would be for someone in more difficult circumstances. If you are not experiencing a medical emergency, I strongly recommend visiting a different walk-in emergency clinic or finding a regular physician or specialist.
ty for the care and support. Ray was kind and attentive. Meant the world.
terrible, all staff were rude and unprofessional to myself as a patient and to my family, it just seems like they hate their jobs then they shouldn’t be in healthcare
I usually come here during the day and the staff is usually nice and quick. I happened to come today, 3/26 at 2 in the morning for constipation. The nurse on shift treated me like a burden and it felt like she didn't want to help. I told her everything I tried for the day to help me out but nothing was working. The entire time she had an attitude and gave me short answers. The doctor wasn't any better. Dr. Joseph came in and asked me questions. I do have prior issues with constipation and he asked so why do you feel like its any different today when you were able to go yesterday morning. Which is what i was trying to explain that i was really nauseous because I wasn't defecating properly. The entire time the doctor had this "why are you even here" demeanor. So i felt like no one was taking me seriously. I wanted my wife in the room the entire time because of how I was being treated. So when the doctor mentioned a rectal exam I asked can my wife be present to which he responded yeah. The nurse came back in to give me a gown told me to underdress and at this point I said where's my wife to which i was ignored and she just left. I called my wife, as we're on the phone they finally bring her in there and I ended up leaving and sought help elsewhere. I wasn't comfortable being treated by these two individuals that weren't taking my concerns seriously, all I wanted was to feel a bit better and they made me feel worse. It's clear they chose their career for their salary and not to genuinely help people.
Services are quick and efficient yet thorough. I've been here twice in 2 yrs and the service has been consistent.
Kane was AMAZING from start to finish! Dr Jasmine was awesome and straight to the point! :/ Front desk was my only issue I had to use the bathroom sooooooo bad and I understood the policy bt geez Louise I wasn't kidding about it or checking my daughter in!!!!!! Luckily the clinical staff came through in the back for a 5 star review :) Thank you guys so much
This happened to me at HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Montrose I deeply regret my decision to seek care at this establishment. From the moment I arrived, I felt uncomfortable and disrespected. On Sunday, February 8, 2026, when I first spoke with the nurse, she said, "This is an emergency room, not a hospital." I was already aware of that distinction, and her comment felt unnecessary and dismissive. As I attempted to explain my medical concerns, she spoke to me in a condescending manner, seemingly because of my accent. Although the interaction was upsetting, I initially chose not to escalate the situation. While waiting for the doctor, my husband and I overheard staff members making inappropriate remarks about me. One comment was, "The doctor is hiding because he doesn't want to see her," followed by laughter. Hearing this was humiliating and profoundly unprofessional. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable remaining there and decided to get dressed and leave without being seen by a physician. To make matters worse, today, February 11, 2026, received a call regarding my discharged paperwork, despite the fact that I was never evaluated by a doctor. I explained everything that had occurred. Rather than apologizing or expressing concern, the caller responded in a dismissive tone, repeatedly saying, "Okay..." When I informed her that I would be writing a review about my experience, she replied, "Do whatever you want." This entire experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic respect. Patients seeking emergency care are often vulnerable and anxious, and they deserve dignity, compassion, and competent service, regardless of their accent or background. What I experienced was the opposite. I sincerely hope this matter is reviewed and addressed so that no other patient feels the way I did.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
