Amazing response time, thorough visit even though virtual w/ follow up in person visit scheduled

I've been having menstrual issues since I hit puberty, causing me to skip my period for sometimes months as well as both extremely painful and heavy periods, plus cramps when I'm not even on my period. Heather shrugged it off and said I would grow out of it by the time I was 16. When the problem persisted (when I was 17), she put me on birth control which made the problem worse, the pain was worse than anything I'd dealt with before and my periods were heavier and longer (my natural cycle is 7 days). She disregarded my concerns and put me on another birth control which didn't change a thing, I remember at one point I was bleeding for three weeks, leaving my body only a week to recover. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone, she doesn't actually take you seriously.And this is only my experience, my baby brother has a hernia in his belly (he's had it since he was an infant), and she kept saying it was fine and nothing was wrong and now she tells my mother he is fat (he's not, just looks that way because of the hernia), and has said my sisters are overweight (they are young kids and I can see their ribs, if anything they are underweight).

Both my wife and I had our first preliminary appointment with Dr. Heather Hughes, M.D. as we just moved to the area.Obviously time will tell after many more visits but if this visit is any indication of the care we will receive than the 5 stars are warranted! This is a doctor that listens, lets you talk and makes you feel comfortable and confident.Based on only this one visit I still feel very confident to recommend her to people that want to visit a caring doctor.Another observation: the office staff was outstanding too!

The entire she was my primary she did not once touch me, like look in ears check my heart rate like Dianna Wemhoff does !

Never placed a stethoscope on me. Did not listen to any of my concerns and blew me off in the 5 min she spent with me.

Dr. Gessling is a professional and lives by the Hippocratic oath. What an outstanding Doctor

Dr Gessling has always helped myself and my husband if we didn't understand something she would take time to explain it for us

Outside visit Dr. Gessling is a very good Dr. She is very caring and talks to her patients about what they need. Very nice to talk to. I would say she is very concerned about each patient. I am thankful for such a good Dr.

I believe Dr. Gessling to be a very knowledgeable and capable physician but I am starting to have a problem that she never listens to my lungs and heart, ever, except for my annual exam and if I have a cold or cough. I don’t understand that. I could have something wrong with my heart but known until a Dr. hears it by stethoscope. Otherwise I like her very much.
