List of Houston Children's Dental Center's Reviews
I'm shocked by the 4 stars. I wouldn't take a stray dog he w for care. My review is based on 2 visits. From conflicting information to unprofessional staff, deceptive practices, and long wait times for children with special needs, I don't know where to even start. Also, this place should seriously be investigated for insurance fraud, specifically Medicaid fraud. I think their target audience includes patients and families who a) have medicaid and b) speak English as a second language. I interacted with a front desk worker, allegedly named Karen but badge conveniently turned inward, lives in a larger body, and wore extremely tight scrubs who lied on us to our face and said we called and cancelled the appointment the day before due to "covid". Karen consistently referred ti my nephew as she and kept asking us about medicaid, despite my nephew having private, employer sponsored insurance. Then, there's Tiffany Reid, who identified as the Clinical Nursing Director, who i recorded on my metaglasses as she chuckled in my families face, standing less than a foot away, and told us the doctor was refusing to treat us based on the note regarding "a call about covid" and said the doctor hear a cough from the area where we were sitting. Mind you, we had been in the waiting area for 1h 7mins at this point, never coughed, never asked about a cough, never provided a mask, they didnt wear mask while interacting us closely or even as they walking from 1 patient/family to another. I told them of just how inconsiderate it was after having had my special needs nephew fast for over 14 hours. I even mentioned to Tiffany how they had miscommunicated just a few weeks prior and asked us to have my nephew fast for no reason! The doctor counted his teeth, said they couldn't give us a cost of actual treatment plan until my nephew was actually sedated, and rescheduled. We drove over 40mins for this janky setup, bad parking, community clinic vibe. They also refused to let us speak with the doctor. The whole thing is diabolical. 1) if my morals and ethics led me to call and cancel an appt due to covid, that would be the end, i wouldnt drive 40+ mins to risk getting sick. 2) if ur actually concerned about keeping patients and providers well, why allows us to sit in ur clinic for 1hr and 7mins, no mask, no instructions to take a rapid test, nothing. Sadly, it left me to wonder if they turned us away bc we DIDNT have medicaid. Karen asked about 3x. Stay away if you can!
Made an appointment and wasn’t seen because my daughter had a follow up and everyone else had a consolation only concerned on making money rather then making sure scheduling and appointment times are taken care of first horrible wait time with an appointment I will never return
We had a wonderful experience here. I can not recommend it enough! Our 11 year-old daughter was referred here to have her treatments under sedation and we were pretty nervous about the procedure but everyone was very helpful and kind. The staff really made sure we felt welcomed. Our initial consult appointment was scheduled for 11:30 and having read other reviews about the long wait, we came prepared with books and an ipad, jackets in case it was cold, drinks, and snacks. I also prepared my daughter that we may be waiting a while. We did have about an hour wait before we were called back, which I felt was not unreasonable, due to the specialized service they provide. Once back, the consult went very fast, and we were then scheduled for the sedation appointment. For that appointment, we got there at 7:15am and even having 13 things done, we were leaving the office by 9:45am! All went so well and we so appreciate having this option for those whom need extra care for dental work.
The wait time with having an appointment is unacceptable. My kid can’t eat or drink 4 hrs before the procedure and we are still waiting 1hr and a half after scheduled appointment. It been 12 hrs since he’s eaten at this point. He’s getting irritable by the minute.
A nice and lean office , wait time was not long . They made my daughter feel welcomed and me as well with the next steps we’re going to be for my daughters procedure. Dr. Diaa was also welcoming , very straight forward but in a good way went through the upcoming steps as well and made sure I had no questions
Great place. My kid was definitely challenging but they handled him with care and everything went well.
This is my second time bringing my autistic son, and everyone is super nice and accommodating. Will continue returning ☺️
Everyone was kind and considerate, willing to assist with my paperwork and very kind to my son who will be the patient. I would highly recommend them to family & friends.
Nice and efficient staff. Highly recommend
The first time you visit the waiting is insane and hard if you have special needs children like a lot of kids are that come here. However after that if your child has to come back for sedation it's not that long. The actual nurses and dentists are really great. They were with me and my son. I saw some reviews saying the staff was rude, but I didn't have that experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
