What a waste of time, insensitive and do not get back you! Went for a consult, waited 35 minutes to been seen for 10 minutes and sent on our way. We were explained what IVF is, we already know. Was told a nurse would be calling, never received that call today!!
My dr is been dr Hoff who is very compassionate, knowledgeable and great overall. I have done two rounds of iUI unsuccessfully, I attended their main location on Fannin, Womens hospital, Katy and Piney point for ultrasounds/ blood work. I have to say ALL of their office staff at the locations are very insensitive, lack communication, rude. These type of treatments are very emotional and everything is done in a timely manner which the office staff seems to not care at all. They have no high sense or urgency whatsoever. You feel like they are doing you a favor and you are bothering them. So to me it is the office staff that are the problem. Waiting on a call from the financial counselor for IVF (I'm support to start treatment tomorrow) and we are still in the black when it comes to financial cost since it's pretty much a begging process to get information out of them. Piney point location, my personal experience was not pleasant. It's packed with people at all times, felt like I was at a grocery store. That place always gave me anxiety. Just the thought of going there for IVF transfer is not exciting. Everyone has a pocket face like they hate their job. But at this point I kind of feel thats one of their requirements to hire their staff. Sad because I like Dr Hoff, but once again, the staff makes me want to start looking for another clinic.
I called to inquire scheduling appointment about some concerning issues related to fertility. The lady was returned my call was extremely rude and insensitive, made me feel like I did something wrong. I hope she wAs just having a bad day, because no's situation should be to small.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ---- waall this place is a MONEY PIT we wasted time money - completed two rounds of IUI and 2 rounds of IVF paid out of pocket no results they are horrible - they don't tell u a damn thing a just the fees -- there are hidden cost -- after 1st failure with IVF we produced no viable embryos- according to them "this never happens the second round is free " total lies and bullshit - the supposed waived fee of 6900 yeah right what a joke they still had is pay $1500 said it was a discount then u have to buy meds they overcharge and give you too many medications- still have a lab fee - we pre paid for PGS testing up to 8 embryos only two were tested I asked for a refund and basically I was told sorry no refund not my problem- what a load of shit DONT WASTE YOur time or money - all they care about is is your money - you feel more like a number then a person -- fast forward one year later i see a notice via email they are going to charge my card on file $500 for annual storage fee of embryos-my husband and I were told Out embryos were destroyed last year due to abnormal genetic make up ( PGS testing ) low and behold they were never destroyed or discarded how heartbroken I was to hear this - when I spoke with the manager at HFI she said "Oh Hummm we apologize for the misunderstanding " and that was it what an insensitive unprofessional office staff I wish they can be reported to CMS - Another time I was waiting at piney pint for my hysteroscopy and the nurse actually told me the doctor was running behind Because one patient was a an egg donor had a bleed out and was rushed to local hospital and the other patient ended up having a a cyst or tumor I was shocked to hear the pre op nurse telling me this because this is an absolute HIPPA violation - Also Good luck with the "portal" they do not return messages at all HFI needs to be reported and investigated Unless you call and then get a voice mail Or transferred 5 times How is this place even open such an injustice I was vulnerable and Wish I had never come To this clinic
For something as personal and daunting as fertility treatments, one would think the aspect of human decency would be a foundational element. We had a consultation with HFI over 1 year ago and after calling multiple times to get more information on the financial requirements, they never called back or provided the information. We then went to a different office and a different doctor only to be stood up... TWICE! We waited for 45 minutes and when I finally told the receptionist we had to leave she said "oh the doctor was running about 40 minutes behind"... well, don't you think you could have told us that before we drove 30 minutes to get here? A phone call would have been nice. So then they offered that the doctor could do a phone consultation later that week and we were stood up AGAIN! Not only did they charge more for the phone consult (unbeknownst to us at the time), but they were still going to try to charge us after the doctor never called. Deeply disturbing behavior and certainly not the way to start this type of relationship.
This place is a scam. They get you in the door and then try to upsell you. Totally unprofessional- should be shut down for how they try to take advantage of women. Avoid at all cost.
Dr. Nurdeen was my doctor from April 2018 until October 2018. Just thought I'd share a few of my experiences & why I have switched to Dr. Nodler At CCRM. We've had 1 natural IUI, 2 Clomid IUI's and 1 IVF with this clinic. Within this time frame I saw the doctor in person twice (maybe a 3rd time during an ultrasound). I did see Dr. Hogg quite a lot while I was there & really liked her, but she wasn't my doctor. We noticed there is lack of communication between the doctor & the nurses. Our first IUI resulted in a pregnancy that we lost. I don't blame the clinic, but be careful. I had what I thought was a period, so I called the clinic since we were out of the country. I explained it was like no period I had experienced before...I was bleeding like it was water. Nothing could hold it. The nurse who I assumed spoke to the doctor told me to take birth control & get off progesterone. I did this and a week or so later because I was so sick I took a pregnancy test. Sure enough I was pregnant. Later the doctor would explain the odd period was a sign of low progesterone. Again, I don't blame anyone for this as it probably wasn't going to make it. I would caution you to double check with the doctor though and now I understand low progesterone. Fast forward, 3rd IUI. My lining was never thick enough using clomid, so I found out my insurance would allow me to do IVF. I called the nurse & financial person letting them know what to submit to the insurance. I was basically told no. I email the clinic that I'm switching clinics. Later I receive a call from Dr. Nurdeen and she did fix it and submitted everything. We make it to IVF and I really expected I'd see the doctor..I think this was once during a scan of the follicles. I only had 1-2 follicles. I probably would have expected to be switched to a IUI and nurses all thought same. Doctor advised via the nurses to continue. We had our egg retrieval of one egg. That egg fertilized and made it to day 3. By day 5 we went to the clinic got into the gown with a full bladder & waited for almost 1.5 hours. Nurse kept coming in to check & said I could pee for 2 seconds, but it was almost time. By that point my phone rings which why would I answer that waiting to go in for an egg transfer. I find out it's my doctor (Dr. Nurdeen) calling me saying I need to speak with you and we've been trying to find you. Her exact words. I'm thinking to myself, why would she call me if I'm in her clinic waiting on Dr. Hoff. Nurse doesn't know anything. My husband walks next door and they call the doctor since she didn't leave a number. Finally she calls back & I find the egg didn't make it to day 5 it wasn't of a good grade. Again, I get the fact my egg didn't make it. I don't understand the process when there was a dr there who could have told me since my doctor was out of town. Fast forward, I had already decided to leave the clinic. A nurse calls & emails me through the portal saying I missed my appt. wanted to check on me & make sure I was taking my meds and get me in to do blood work & scans. Not realizing my egg transfer didn't happen. Just very disorganized. Everyone is friendly though. I probably just had a bad experience. Good luck in your endeavors!
Don't waste your time or money. My husband and I went to the Clear Lake location. We saw both doctors at that location. One gave us incorrect information and the other doctor flat out lied to us. They are money hungry and recommend the things that will make them the most money.
dont waste your money ---- after my miscarriage i was placed on the back burner. they don't care!!!
Doctors dont have time to answer your questions. Always seem in a hurry. Nurses answer your questions. They ask for more medicine quatity than you need, which is really expensive instead of just ordering refill in case you need more medicine. Some medicines they send to their pharmacy can be sent to a regular pharmacy with discount. Be aware of what they order and amount.
