Review Summary
Methodist received 82.5% positive feedback, with patients praising the amazing doctors, professionalism, and caring staff. However, 17.5% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing billing issues, long wait times, and poor communication. Overall, the hospital is valued for its quality care, yet it needs better time management and administrative processes.ScoreDoc Score

Great experience made simple 😊
Couldn't ask for a better doctor and staff.
my doctors r so good, i recommend them
I am always happy with dealing with them.
Orthopedic Outpatient Center facilities and staff were top notch! Dr. McCullough and his staff did a great job. Many thanks!
Do not do the" Smart Hearts" package scans and expect to pay the price shown on the brochure! They present these as" package deals" with no additional costs. I spoke with a representative in scheduling and asked the specific question if the Heart Scan Plus package offered for $205 was inclusive of professional billing or would I receive a separate bill from a radiologist. I was told that the package included all charges. Not true!!!! the Radiologist bill is $460 They need to retrain their employee's and include this information on the brochure. It took me 20 minutes on the phone to get an answer about the bill I received from Houston Radiology Associates for this additional charge. The Houston Methodist billing representative was so sorry I misunderstood that the package did not include the radiologist professional portion. I did not misunderstand, I was told incorrect information by your scheduling staff. I have to pay for this and it sure feels like I have been part of a scam.
Handicapped accessibility is zero stars. We actually followed a ramp in the parking garage that said it was leading to elevators, and it ended with stairs! Even the second floor crosswalk from Parking Garage 1 is inaccessible - stairs only, no ramp! The only way into any of the complex buildings on Fannin from ground level is by going up the valet parking ramp - Seriously?!
We have been waiting for hours in the ER. I've been watching one man work hard. The rest are on their phones or standing around talking. No communication and absolute no sense of urgency. What a disappointment - and we are here in the ER because that is where the doc told us to go for faster "service". What a joke.
We have recently since Feb of this year started seeing Dr. Lamping at the Cypress office. We like her but the office staff is a big 0. They NEVER return calls and they do not understand how to talk to patients (customer since we pay the bill). My wife has been calling the office and they do not answer, they use VM but never return calls. She has left numerous messages over a 6 week time frame trying to get someone to call her to set up a sleep study and a upper GI exam for a possible ulcer. Finally after 6 weeks of trying she called the appt central system and talked to a person who promised to leave a message at the Cypress office for them to return her call and left a message for the patient affairs office to call about our complaint. This was on Monday of this week the 23rd. Still nothing from Patient affairs today the 27th. And still nothing from the Cypress office either. SO my wife called there again today and got an answer from a call center and my wife told them of our plight and received an apology and was transferred to the Cypress office. The nurse answered and told my wife that they have 3 days to answer a call????????? and the nurse said since you live very close why didn't you come here to the office instead of calling?????? Then they said there was only one record of her calling in the system????? Then she said that they have a new system and that they are still learning it?????? All of this is just excuses for poor behavior and unexcused lack of trying to get back. I know that my wife has left message after message and so has the call center. The last time we were both there to see the Dr. we told the staff that they have not returned calls (about previous issues) and heard the same excuses and that was 2 months ago. We had been gong to another local Dr. here who was great and answered calls same day. But he had to drop our insurance (Tricare). We found the Methodist office here was just opening and it was close and I had been to the Methodist Hospital in Willow Brook and liked how we were treated. But the two are night and day. We have even complained to the Dr. but it seems she has little control over the staff. I am looking at filing a complaint with Methodist but they don't return calls either. My next step will be to file a complaint with Tricare and also go onto the different Military and Military Retiree web sites and spread the word. It makes you wonder if the VA is running Methodist. The real aggravation is that Methodist is better than this and I have become very disappointed in this treatment. I think that the staff at the Cypress center needs better training and better leadership. (management and leadership are 2 completely different things).
We had a wonderful experience! I would like to say that the Dr., Nurses, PCA's on 8th floor West we're very professional and caring. A special thank you to Anish!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
