My daughter showed symptoms of idiopathic Gastroparesis during covid in 2022, she could barely eat or drink liquids. After seeing several doctors that dismissed her symptoms and assumed it was all mental she started searching for help in the internet and found reference of Dr. Elias Darido and the partial gastrectomy he could do to resolve gastroparesis’ symptoms.<br>My husband and I were desperate when learned about this disease and that it has no cure or research enough to help it.<br>I was initially skeptical about the surgery but due to the drastic progress of this disease we decided to call Dr Darido’s office and were able to schedule a call where we got all our questions answered by Dr. Darido. He immediately ordered the gastric emptying exam needed to confirm my daughter’s symptoms were indeed related to gastroparesis. We had the test done in a local hospital and when results came positive for this disease we decided to proceed with the surgery. Dr Darido did not promise the surgery success to resolve gastroparesis but said he will do everything he could to help my daughter with this surgery. My daughter had the surgery in March 2023 and to my surprise it was immediate sucess. My daughter started with the special diet recommended for this surgery and was immediately able to eat and drink liquids again. She says this surgery was her miracle and I agree. After being terrified because my daughter could not have her basic needs covered like eating and drinking liquids, after the surgery all the symptoms like vomit, nausea, burping were gone. It has been 3 years after the surgery and my daughter is doing fine, and for that I will always be grateful to Dr. Elias Darido.<br><br>For all the people that is going thru this, I recommend to reach to Dr. Darido’s office. I dealt with gastroparesis for years, dealing with constant nausea, pain, indigestion and everything that goes along with it. I had surgery with Dr. Darido in October 2022 and things have been amazing since! I have had no gp symptoms at all since then and i have my life back!

IF YOU HAVE GASTROPARESIS PLEASE READ!!!!!<br>I am 10 months out post op from Dr. Daridos novel procedure to help my severe gastroparesis. My husband and I took out a 16k high interest loan to cover this as we were told our insurance would not cover it. Easter Sunday 2024 I was 256 lb when my symptoms became every single day. Day of surgery I was 181 lbs at 5'8. Dr. Darido and his entire staff were amazing until everything was paid for. When my husband demanded master claims to submit to our insurance he and my husband exchanged harsh words and I have never heard from him again. Ever. He completely abandoned me. Then sent a master claim saying the procedure was 20k so even though we paid him 16k we would still owe him and not be able to get anything back. Smart right! Dr Darido was paid to remove scar tissue if it was there when he went in. I had another surgery 2 months later to actually remove it. Both of my surgeries were done with the same camera that you are given photos from. So yes this is a fact. Also I had to go to the er 3 days after my procedure and I had an umbilical hernia that wasn't present before my surgery and I had complained after surgery to Dr. Darido I was in pain there. He told me that didnt make any sense he didnt do anything there. I have been sent to Mayo since and was told the couldn't do anything for me until I began enteral nutrition to stabilize my weight. Thursday I will have my surgery for the second time in 6 weeks because after this "novel procedure" My only options are a jtube which i have or ten. Everyone has told me how much easier a g tube would be bc you get a more normalized feeding pattern. Not if you have this procedure. I am required to be hooked to a machine 24 hours a day to live now. Let that sink in....im sure this has helped some of his patients with their symptoms but he should be honest in saying what the potential outcomes would be. Dr Darido assured me having this surgery would not affect any medical intervention I may need for my gastroparesis in the future. That's obviously not true. I told this man I hoped he went to bed at night fulfilled knowing that he is changing people's lives the day I had surgery. The irony in that is just insane. Every single month when my husband pays the equivalent of a note on a new lexus to the man who ruined my life I spend the entire day crying. I cant look in mirrors im disgusted most of my long beautiful hair has fallen out or breaking off. Every day im worried I wont wake up the next. My family having to watch me go through this is what gets to me the most. I have five kiddos,a new grandson, and the most amazing husband that I want so badly to live for. For me to continue to have faith in humanity I really have to tell myself that Dr Darido isnt a bad man. Maybe he will read this and be more transparent going forward with all possible outcomes. He shouldn't abandon his patients after performing major surgeries that will affect their entire life, good or bad. He and my husband butting heads over the phone or asking for something to attempt to have my insurance cover it should not have by any means affected my care from him. Period. There is no denying that. I pray for you everyday Dr. Darido...that you will live up to this amazing provider that I just knew you were. I know it will never be seen by me but I hope all of your future patients feel that their life has value to you. Mine did not. The people that want to see you win in life help you get there. You did the complete opposite. Let's be clear im not just looking for a refund because no amount of money in the world could ever replace what you took from not only me but my entire family. I just want Dr. Darido to stop and think about the impact good or bad he can have on a person's life with this procedure. 1st Pic is 8/28 the day before my surgery 2nd is today. 3rd picture is the j tube I will have for the rest of my life. I had been having trouble with GERD for several years. I felt like I wasn’t being heard so I started searching for a new doctor. I was looking for a doctor who was familiar with the sleeve surgery and GERD. I found several doctors that were qualified but I was very impressed with Dr. Darido. His credentials spoke for themselves but what really sold me were the reviews from actual patients.<br>His office was so easy to work with. They did all the work with insurance. Dr. Darido was very straightforward and explained everything so I could understand. We had lots of questions and he was very patient to answer all of them.<br>After the surgery he gave me his number in case I had any questions. I was pleasantly surprised when he returned my text and then actually called me himself.<br>In this day and age it is very hard to actually get to speak with the doctor. Dr. Darido went above and beyond.<br>Dr. Darido is very skilled and I highly recommend him.<br>I am so thankful for Dr. Darido and his staff.

Dr. Darido is AMAZING!!! He did my gastric sleeve and hernia repair December 2023 it’s now March 2024 and I’ve lost 33lbs… no more blood pressure pills, back pain or acid reflux!!! Thank you so much I definitely recommend 10/10 Ms.Valerie and your staff were all so nice and friendly they helped make this process easy! Dr Darido and his staff were very attentive understanding and helpful throughout the whole process of my sleeve surgery from the initial consultation through the short hospital stay. I could see dr Darido was very confident and happy with his work and proved it with my surgery. I have nothing but good things to say about the whole process and his staff, as well as the hospital staff which were really friendly, down to earth, and attentive during my stay.
