I was just doing research to find out who my doctor was 10 years ago because I need my medical records. I am so sadden to hear about Dr. Moran's passing. He was a amazing person and Dr.! My heart goes out to the Family!!! I am so sorry for your loss of a great man!

Moran served me well for many years, prior to abruptly closing. Support in gaining records has been very slow. There will be a Tx Medical Board approved fee to get them. There is a fee for the print out of medical records. For records that date back from 2012 to current there is a $50 fee, and for records that date from 2018 to current the fee is $25.

Closed his practice without providing notice or access to medical records. No-show for our telemed appointment and made no provisions for prescription refills.

He just up and left. I hope he's not in jail or in another dimension. I need my refills.

Dr. Moran - if you are reading this, I hope you are OK, and you certainly deserve to retire. However, I never thought you would just disappear. It is taking a lot of time and effort to find a doctor who takes new patients, and to wait for an appointment. I am fortunate that I only need a refill and to establish a new relationship.The office phone is disconnected, and there is a badly-written sign on the office door with another disconnected phone number. After several weeks and some inquiries, I found that the former office manager is handling patient records. If you are a patient, contact Travis County Medical Society at 512.206.1249.Former office manager told me that patients are taking out their frustrations on her. That is very unfair, however she is also frustrating - it took eight emails, and repeatedly asking how to pay and how much I owed, to get my records. I learned here on Yelp that Dr. Moran left without notifying patients or securing a system to get records. I hope this review helps others who didn't know.UPDATE - the former office manager is only providing records for the past 7 years. The rule is that they must be kept for 7 years AFTER the last date of treatment. My last visit was only 4 months ago.Dr. Moran: I want all of my records. I have been a patient since the 2000s and I only have my records back to 2012. Please put a compliant system into place.

this worthless piece of garbage closed his office, sent no letters or anything. Where do we go for our medical records? Prescriptions? Plus, his site says he is a member of the Ascension Seton Medical Team...he is NOT. I confirmed that with Seton. Compassion? This clown doesnt know the meaning of the word. Total jerk. I have filed a malpractice suit with the Texas Medical Board. Apparently a number of people have also. Hope he loses his license.

Absolutely disgusted! Disconnected his phone lines and abandoned his patients overnight. I am a nurse and I'mEmbarrassed that I trusted this man with the care of my father.

Abandoned patients by closing down with zero notice. He will be facing numerous malpractice suits.

I wish I could give zero stars. Dr. Moran has been my doctor for 5 years. Without notice of any kind he closed his practice. I just saw him 3 weeks ago and neither he or his staff said anything. He owes me $$on a bill overpayment and his staff told me 2 weeks ago they would send the overpayment to me that day. Never got the money and phone is disconnected. I am very disappointed in how this has been handled and his office staff has always been rude!

I've been seeing Dr. Moran for over 40 years and could not ask for a better doctor. Seems to have a high turnover of staff but they are generally responsive. Medical care is GREAT. After I moved outside of Austin, I still make the one hour drive each way to his office because I know that he will take care of my needs in a a calm, reassuring manner.
