I've seen Dr. Sunew for a few years now. I've never had any issues with him or his office. The wait times are a little long sometimes but that is a norm at many doctors offices. While he visited with me I appreciated that he took notes and even referenced the prior visits notes to make sure everything was still accurate.
2nd strike for post cardiac intervention for exceptional care provider. Gratitude showed by family members, including son, orthopedic surgery faculty assistant professor and atient personally. Post CT scan, MRI scan through analysis for further hospital treatment with hospital prompt visits.Dr F L Y Hing
I started seeing Dr. Sunew after he was recommended to me after I had a hypertensive episode that sent me to the ER. I have seen him for several years now and I find Dr. Sunew to be extremely knowledgeable and has the ability to relate that knowledge to me in a way that is understandable and compassionate. I have a tendency to be pretty anxious when I see a doctor, and he understands that, and after talking to him about my issues, I always feel relieved and less anxious afterwards. Dr. Sunew is also one of the only doctors that have been recommended to me by other doctors, stating they would send their loved ones to see him. His staff is also wonderful and caring. So 5 stars for his compassion, knowledge, professionalism, calm demeanor and being an all around nice person.
I saw Dr. Sunew on 01/08/21 for an incident that sent me to ER. When I was seen by Dr. Sunew for discharge at ER 1 day later after many test. He gave me a brand new diagnosis that greatly impacted me and my family (when I informed them). I was his first pt at the appt on 01/08 but her came in really rushed to immediately start typing on the computer. He looked stressed and he was very much in a hurry. I did tell him that I had questions since this was a new diagnosis, but as soon as he finished typing and maybe saying 10 words to me, he got up and said he was late and had to go to his next patient. I told him "hold on, I have a few questions". He heard and semi-answered my questions. When I asked him regarding my diagnosis and what he had told me at my discharged he repeatedly denied having said it and when asked "then why...." , [as was walking out the door] he said "I don't know, we will need to run tests...." I WILL NOT recommend him to anyone as his information is erroneous, horrible bedside manners, and left me more confused then I was before.
Exceptional service, knowledge and relaxed environment
Horrible customer service. Was asked to wear a heart event monitor for 7 days and then they had no record of me wearing any such device after it was returned. I have called daily for 7 days at multiple locations and nobody as called me back ever. I have even tried emailing several times. Highly disappointed with this office. I have worked in Medical for over 12 years and this office staff is a complete joke. I have emailed Dr Sunew and called multiple times over the past two weeks and no reply. I would highly suggest staying clear of Memorial Katy Cardiology if you want proper medical care.
I have called 8 days in a row and yet to receive a call back from anyone at multiple locations. I have even tried to email Dr Sunew personally and nothing. I was asked by the Dr Sunew to wear a heart event monitor for 7 days and then told no results were recorded because staff "forgot" to upload my information. As someone who has worked in medical for 12 years I would highly suggest anyone to stay clear of Memorial Katy Cardiology if you value your health.
I have been going to Dr. Sunew for several years and am very pleased with him. I was just reading some of his reviews and couldn't believe some of the negative remarks. I wouldn't think of going to any other cardiologist. He seems very concerned with my health and always takes time to answer any questions I have.
He spends the time and answers the questions.
Dr. Sunew is a horrible doctor in following with his patients needs. He gives out prescriptions, but not support his patients in regards to the prescriptions. He loves to type on the computer, but poor compassion to his patients. I would not recommend this cardiologist.
Absolutely the worst bed side manor. Doesn’t return phone calls; his staff is almost as bad. The most arrogant doctor I have ever met.
He is a mediocore cardiologist. He is much more worried about typing his notes than having proper bedside manner. He quickly comes and leaves without asking you, the patient, if you have any more concerns or worries. I get more help from Google than I do from him. I don't recommend him to anyone. He seems like many doctors, that is more interested in money than patient care.
Dr. Sunew diagnosed a congenital heart defect I had lived with for 46 years. I had seen several specialists before seeing Dr.Sunew, a of whom were unable to determine the cause of my relentless fainting episodes. I’ll be forever grateful for his care!!
Staff make you feel welcome, the doctor actually listens to you and takes the time to find out how to help you. My bloodpressure is good for the first time in several years.
Dr Sunew took great care of my father this weekend. He placed 2 stents for him. He explained everything to us and made us feel very comfortable with the procedure. I highly recommend him!
Great care & explained everything in "real" people terms...
