List of Kelty R. Baker's Reviews
I've been to my fair share of doctors in my life while dealing with various inflammatory issues, this was by far the worse experience I've ever had at a doctor. Not only is her office staff muted and not personable, but she is condescending, rude, arrogant and extremely preachy. An actual quote from her, "I'm old enough to be your mom, so I'm going to talk to you like I'm your mom." (I'm 42) I heard her demean a worker at a blood bank - "It's beneath me" - "Not worth my time" "I would ask you, but you wouldn't know the answer" etc... If you're missing on the joy of being around a megalomaniac, then go see her, otherwise find another hematologist. There are others that are good without having to subjugate yourself to her ego.
I had a unique, but common medical issue for people who would have been dx with Cancer. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr. K. Baker by Dr. E. Greene (Simpson), due to a continued low lab level, any other doctor, I believe, would have said I had cancer, but she is passionate about her field of study and dx the real issue and I have yet to have that situation again.
Be prepared to wait a long time to make an appointment with her. I have been waiting for over a month and still have not been able to make an appointment with her.
Dr Baker is fantastic. Clearly a leader in her field which she applies skillfully to the benefit of her patients. She is interested, caring, and has a great sense of humor.
Great doctor. Very professional and personable.
Rudest doctor I have ever seen. She began to get talk down to me decays I am not vaccinated the proceeds to tell me I am a bad mother and not a Christian because I won’t get vaccinated. I care about everyone’s views and don’t look down on those that do get vaccinated. I believe it is our personal choice and non of my business. So please tell me what gives her the right to say that a patient is a bad mother and not a Christian. This was the first time I had seen her in 7 years. Her PA was great busy she was horrid.
recently had an appointment with Dr Baker and needles to say her bedside manner was not what I expected at all. When informing me about my condition she basically stated that the condition occurs more frequently in blacks vs whites and that it may be due to the fact that blacks have more pesticides in their homes! In one sentence she disrespected not only me but an entire race of people and it didn’t even seem to concern her. This was my first actual visit with her while other visits were handled by her assistant. She made other race comparisons in the same manner which was totally ridiculous, very unprofessional and disrespectful. I was appalled by her comments and there was a time where I asked her did she really say that and other times were I had to chuckle to keep from getting upset, I even contemplated recording her because I was really in disbelief at what she was saying. She drew drawings on her dry erase board and told me to take pictures as if I couldn’t follow what she was saying verbally. If she continues to practice she DEFINITELY needs diversity training!
Staff AND doctor rude as hell. Run! Find a physician that actually cares and doesn't use illegal billing practices. Don't know why this practice is still in business. There is no need to EVER be rude to a patient/family members. Unacceptable.
Great team (Michelle, Denise, Cassandra and Maggie) and I always feel like I always have up to date information and great care with Dr. Baker.
Dr. Baker’s office is organized and prompt. The ladies who check vitals and draw blood are kind and warm. Dr. Baker does not smile so much, but does act aggressively (in a good way) in caring for her patients. She pays attention and connects the dots when others might overlook some of the patient’s history. She is direct, and I appreciate and respect this about her, recognizing that she is driven to help her patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
