This office had a bad vibe from beginning. The women up front (Tina) was rude and not welcoming in the least. I was excited to meet Dr. Teng but his abrupt demeanor immediately made me feel uncomfortable. When he asked me to describe my symptoms I felt like I needed to almost defend diagnosed illnesses that I have tests to confirm. He was the type of doctor that doesn't seem to like intelligent patients. He began to ask questions about my rare, heart disease and was making comments that made it clear, his understanding of my disease was minimal. That's fine, he's not a cardiologist and it's rare but he was very nasty about it and got rude when I told him I'm seen at a center of excellence for my heart. When I challenged what he told me about my heart he rudely suggested for me to go to that center of excellence to fix my hernia. His ego literally could not take being challenged at all; he would rather dismiss me. He cut me off, interrupted me, was rude and lacked all empathy. I was disgusted by his behavior. I'm surprised by the good reviews. I can only imagine that these patients didn't challenge him at all. Trust me, when his shallow ego gets upset; it's not pretty. Go elsewhere! This isn't the person you want operating on you or the office you want to have to visit after. The lack of surgeons in this town is the only reason substandard doctors like this remain in existence. He may have surgical skills but his lack of bedside manner outshines that & should have made Dr. Teng and his horrible behavior obsolete. His office manager.

I can't say enough good things about this office! I had my appointment on a Tuesday, short sweet and to the point- my gallbladder isn't working so I can deal with it or have it removed. I told Tina at the front desk that I wanted to get in ASAP and she got me a surgery time for Friday, even called me at 7:30pm Wednesday and let me know she got me an earlier surgery time! Surgery was successful and I know I was out of it but I think I remember hearing singing in the OR! Clearly the sign of people who love what they do. I had several tests looking for a hiatal hernia prior to my gallbladder removal to no avail but Dr Teng told me in my follow up that he found it and could fix it and greatly improve my quality of life, but I have to heal first. I am looking forward to getting this process moving. Tina and the rest of the staff were extremely sweet and accommodating to my tight schedule. I was seen on time and given every opportunity to ask questions. I wish every doctors office was run as efficiently as this office! These ladies work HARD!!I can't say enough how thankful I am that Dr Teng

I called the office at around 8am for some questions and I was rudely greeted by the office manager, Tina. She was extremely rude and completely unprofessional. She turned downed the questions I had and was absolutely not willing to help. I called again and spoke to Amy (who was very polite) but I was transferred to Tina who, again, didn't want to help me. I cannot imagine that someone with that demeanor would be managing a doctor's office. She seemed very annoyed that I called, her attitude towards me was horrible and her professionalism was nonexistent.

It has now been a year and a half since my hernia procedure with Teng. Tina, his SISTER, works in the office and she is horrible. The amount of bad reviews JUST calling her out should be enough for him to reevaluate his staff. She got in my husbands face at the time when Covid was a huge concern and masks were mandated. She refused to answer questions and be nice in any way and she was just unnecessarily rude. When I went in for my checkup visit 2 weeks post op, they told me it was cancelled AFTER I sat in office for 30 minutes after I checked in. They cancelled because they said I had my checkup the day after surgery (I requested to see Teng because I was having horrible pain that nothing was helping, I was VERY uncomfortable, and my chest hurt). When I went to office for that, I proceeded to tell Teng his sister was unprofessional and was not a help at all. I started addressing the reasons why I was there and he immediately cut me off and talked down to me. Never answered my questions, and was not helpful at all. He actually proceeded to make me cry because he was so rude and I didn't have the patience to deal with him or his horrible staff anymore. I still have yet to get my hernia checked after repair and honestly, I wouldn't trust anyone in this office to do it anyways. I still have pains in the surgical sight, and on top of that: my stitching from the mesh literally pokes out of my stomach and I can feel it digging into my skin. I have bumps all around my belly button and when you touch them, you can feel the sutures. I can't move certain ways without experiencing a tearing feeling where the mesh was inserted. I can't even put weight on my belly button without the sutures poking and hurting which is not normal (I would know because my dad had 8 hernias across his stomach that were repaired and he has NONE of these problems). He'll probably respond to this review "I'm so sorry that blah blah blah. I hope you got the medical care you need" No, I don't want to hear your shit ass excuses anymore, and honestly, you should start doing your job.. which entails reevaluating your office staff and looking at it from a business standpoint versus a family. This is why it's a good idea to not work with family. You obviously play favoritism towards your sister Tina because if she worked in any other office and acted the way she does, she would have been fired which she rightfully deserves. She is horrible, you are horrible, and your office is horrible. Should have listened to my sister who works in the medical field and has been for 20 years... everyone in the medical field talks bad about you and your sister because your bedside manner sucks-- from both of you. Fix it instead of coming up with sorry ass excuses. Your business sucks. You allow your sister to get in patients faces and be rude which is just baffling to me. The only reason she still has a job is because she's your sister. I would send her on her way, bags packed. You'll have better reviews and outcomes. What you're doing obviously isn't working.

Ok so now u get two stars for not researching and finding out I had my surgery almost a year ago. You were great honestly but there are issues that exist in your office and I'm definitely not the first person who's ever complained about it. You are still the doctor who measured my bp wrong then told me that I might have a stroke - I ran from your office on the 5th floor to my primary care doctor in your same building on the 3rd floor within minutes and my bp was normal. YOU NEED BETTER BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINES OR DON'T TAKE PEOPLE BLOOD PRESSURE AT ALL. Period sir.

I would never use this business for a surgery because pre or post-op they cashed in on you and provide minimal if any support, WHEN YOU NEED IT MOST. I guess their focus is maximize on profit, not on reasonable care for the patient. And I'm a low maintenance 5-star upbeat person.

Dr. Teng is a great, knowledgeable doctor! Dr. Teng removed my gall bladder many years ago and I recently had him repair a hernia. My experience with him and his team were just as great! Dr. Teng always took the time to explain things and answer my questions and I felt he genuinely cared about me as a patient. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him! I also love that his office is clean and organized. You can see they are very system oriented, and I love that. His team of people are just stellar! Every phone call and office visit were always so pleasant. I always felt welcomed! They were all so nice and personable. Great team and Great doctor!!!!

He is the worst doctor to go to if your a woman ! He made me take my clothes off took my phone and took pictures of me told me to look at myself how obese i am and i was there for breast tissue removed ! He said how can you worry about breast tissue when you look like this ! Mind you i have pcos which causes weight gain and recently lost 59Pounds which as been a struggle with my condition ! How can a doctor speak to a woman this way with the way the world is with self esteem issues with woman and their bodies i felt like dying after i left this office cried all the way home ! Please don't go to this doctor if he can treat a 30 year old woman like this imagine what he can do !!!!! So degrading so horrible taking my phone I'm naked and then makes me feel horrible saying look at this picture of yourself your obese and very mean ! Not being there for his gastric bypass surgery just breast tissue ! Do not i repeat do not go to him !

Dr. Teng is a very professional and knowledgeable in surgeries. My surgery went well and fast recovery. Staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. Highly recommend him if you need surgery.

Decided its time to make a lifestyle change to get more healthy. Found this office threw my insurance, this is my second appointment. Dr. Francis is good at what he does and he's very blunt so if you can't understand that he's trying to help you. Then maybe you shouldn't come to this office. The office staff has been friendly any time I've come to my appointments. If you can't make an appointment make sure to cancel asap, they will charge you for not showing up. So I always make sure to have the day off. Nothing is more important then my health at this point in life.
