Mays clinic might have the most disgusting bathrooms in Houston

I had a mastectomy because of cancer and had surgery scheduled for reconstruction 8 months out from radiation. The office did a horrible job of getting everything insurance approved. They sat on the referral from the doctor. Waited a week before surgery to put in the orders. Did not put in as urgent so insurance had 3 weeks to review it. Well it was not approved so surgery never happened. They also gave me hope it would happen and had me drive up to get my blood work and consultation. I paid for parking and gas and the doctor visit. I also had a hard time emotionally because of this not happening. I wrote them no one responded or ever called. They did send me a 200 bill though.

Dear MD Anderson, I wanted to share honest feedback regarding my family’s experience with Dr. Diane Doburka during my mother’s care. I fully understand that my mother’s condition was extremely serious and that end-of-life discussions are some of the hardest conversations any physician has to deliver. However, the way this message was conveyed left our family deeply hurt and unsettled during an already heartbreaking time. While hospice may have ultimately been the right medical recommendation, the manner in which it was communicated felt abrupt and lacking in empathy. For someone who was still fully aware, emotionally present, and fighting to hold onto strength, the tone and approach were devastating. I want to be clear that this is not about questioning the medical judgment, but rather the delivery. A few words of kindness or a gentler approach could have changed how my mother and our family received such painful news. She deserved to hear the truth with dignity and humanity, not bluntness. I truly hope MD Anderson considers offering additional training or refreshers for physicians on how to compassionately communicate end-of-life information to patients and their families. The medical excellence at MD Anderson is unmatched, but empathy and communication are equally vital in moments like these. Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Waited 2 hours for my chemo treatment. No updates, no apologies, just a matter of fact as if this is the norm. When you have cancer and are tired to begin with and they make you wait that to me is not quality service. I waited 2 hours last week just to see my oncologist . This seems to be a pattern.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2020. Im so blessed to be able to drive 3 1/2 hours for treatment. Best doctors and staff.

MD Andetson Cancer Center. Helped cure my wife Cynthia. Cindy and I lived in Houston for one year. A Dictor Neato was her primary physician. He cured Cindy's cancer. Unfortunately Cindy passed 5 months later due to pneumonia and breathing problems that was created because of her 20 years of cancer. I would recommend MD Anderson to anyone that has cancer that can not be cured locally. Dr's at MD Anderson are the best at what they do.
