Dr. Naqvi is a national treasure helping my mom and me through the challenging time in our lives. I was told I had to see Dr. Riaz because I’m not going through chemotherapy anymore. I was very disappointed. He was not familiar with my case and seemed not to care. I’ve asked repeatedly to see Dr. Naqvi again, but they won’t even give her a message or an email. Frustrating

Deeply Disappointed — Especially If You’re Seeking Care for Polycythemia If I could leave zero stars, I would. I came in with documented labs and symptoms consistent with secondary polycythemia. The doctor verbally told me I had “moderate secondary polycythemia,” but he refused to clinically document the diagnosis. Later, after I pressed for clarity, he looked back at my papers and walked it back on the chart, the exact opposite of what he’d said out loud. That should never happen. Because I still had no official diagnosis (despite bringing the same records), I sought a second opinion. The next doctor reviewed the same paperwork, formally diagnosed secondary polycythemia, and immediately started appropriate treatment. I received a therapeutic phlebotomy (~1 pint) and have done well since. Per the treatment plan, I’m managing iron intentionally low (target under 10; mine is 9 now) to help control the condition—something the first clinic never meaningfully addressed. My experience at this location felt focused on repeat visits and billing rather than doing the right thing the first time. I will not be returning. If you need serious, consistent care—especially for secondary polycythemia or polycythemia vera—I recommend going elsewhere. (For context: I had to go to another doctor to get the actual diagnosis after this clinic refused to put in writing what they had already verbalized. That’s unacceptable.)
