Dr Urso was highly recommended by several friends. Dr. Urso’s office called and gave me a heads up that they had a tremendous volume of patients that day and that the wait could be very long (two hours +). I appreciated the notification and I went in knowing that the wait would be long which wasn’t a problem for me. I just used the time to catch up on reading and emails. Dr Urso’s staff was wonderful at all times and, of course, Dr Urso was great as expected. His background, training and experience speak volumes ... a very fascinating doctor who I highly trust.

Very friendly and nice staff! Dr. Urso was extremely pleasant and nice and took the time to answer my questions. He never rushed me or tried to sway my decisions. I felt he was very knowledgeable and I feel confident in his level of expertise. So glad to have found an ophthalmologist in Houston that I feel good about!

I visited Dr. Urso in mid-September 2021. He recommended surgery. I explained that I had paid my deductible and out of pocket maximum for this year so the only way that I could have the surgery would be if it was done this year. He and his office workers assured me that there would be no issues getting this done in 2021 and they would call the insurance company and get back to me to set up the appointments. After patiently waiting 4 weeks of for a call, I finally called the office only to be informed that not only had they not checked with my insurance company yet, but since it was now the middle of October, there was no way possible to get the procedure done before January 2022 at the earliest. I guess I should NOT have waited patiently for the office to call me like they stated they would. This means that I now would have to pay my deductible and out of pocket maximum all over before I could have the procedure done. Dr. Urso was very nice and considerate and I did not mind the wait. However, I was not happy that there was no follow up as promised and the results were that it will now cost me over $7500.00 to have the surgery when it should have been fully covered by insurance if the office had of followed through.

I saw Dr. Urso at Houston Eye Associates for an allergy issue with my eyes. He was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to regarding my eye health. He and his staff listened to everything I shared. They gave helpful information regarding my continued eyesight care. The information shared gave me peace of mind about what was going on in my eyes. I will definitely recommend him and his staff!

Happy with the treatment and information I was given. Interesting that all the negative reviews suddenly appear in 2021 - probably slander because the doctor doesn't just go with the official "party line" on covid. Sad.

Love Dr. Urso and his staff! They were professional and personable. What I appreciate the most about Dr.Urso is that he did not treat me like just another patient where he gave me some standard treatment and rushed me in and out. He treated me with dignity and listened to me as a person along with my concerns over my eye issue. He was very compassionate and did not rush at all. He answered all my questions. And... my eye issue is much better. He is very knowledgeable! Thanks Dr. Urso and staff:)

I just moved to Houston from out of state and am so thankful that I found Dr. Urso. He is absolutely wonderful. He truly cares about his patients' well-being and their health is his priority. His staff was very nice and down to earth. I wish God made all physicians like Dr. Urso!

This is the absolute the worse place ever. Bring ur lunch, you will be here 2-3 hrs no matter what u are having done.

Dr. Urso is very professional and demonstrates a clear devotion to not only his respective field of medicine, but also to medical ethics. He is very attentive and thoroughly answers questions. Highly recommended!
