List of Sherry J. Lim's Reviews
Waited 2 hours to be seen by the doctor. Doctor had a resident with her. The resident was rude. Very rude. Wouldn’t listen and cut me off when I was explaining symptoms. I don’t recommend this surgeon. Very disappointed.
5 years ago I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Dr. Lim removed the tumor as well as lymph nodes. She was able to do this making only one incision, which is barely visible. She explained everything to me clearly. She is amazing and I'm forever grateful for her excellent surgical skills! Thanks Dr. Lim! 5 years cancer free!!!
Dr. Sherry Lim, MD is the best at what she does and strives to be even better. Couldn't be more pleased with her work and her team.
I had surgery with Dr Lim on November 12th. She goes beyond my expectations, she is a great doctor who tell you directly what you need to know. I’m pretty pleased with my procedure. Highly recommended
Dr. Lim is an excellent doctor for anyone in my opinion. I was referred from my PCP, Dr. I. Zaheer (excellent also). From the first time I met Dr. Lim, she was kind and understanding. My husband was with me and he had questions and she answered all of his concerns that we had. I felt very comfortable with her and she told us what procedure that I needed and explained what to expect. On Oct. 17, was my procedure and she was there with her awesome bedside manner. My husband said that Dr. Lim reassured him that I would be fine and he was very confident with her saying this when he didn't even ask. Dr. Lim you are the best and I recommend her.
I highly recommend Dr Lim - she is incredibly thorough and tells you what needs to happen, no nonsense. I came to her for a procedure that wasn't done just anywhere and she was patient with all of my questions, got it done, and sees me for ongoing follow-ups.
Dr Lim came highly recommended by my gynecologist . For the first time in my life , I had an abnormal mammogram requiring a biopsy that the physician at the breast center said might be tricky considering it’s close proximity to my breast implant. I was advised to seek her opinion. Dr. Lim came into my room, did not even shake my hand, and proceeded to make it very apparent that I was wasting her valuable time. Even went so far as to say, “ I cannot look at a suspicious area without a guide wire being placed! I’m not a MIND READER” I explained that this was my first experience with having a biopsy. I didn’t know that surgeons did not do biopsies. It was a stressful situation, I was scared and perhaps I misunderstood the other physician. She then started to take digs at the physician from the breast center by saying “ How can I put this diplomatically? The doctor at the Kirby location is very young....” giving me the impression that she thought she was overreacting . This made me question whether I needed a biopsy or not! She did a split second paplation of both my armpits , two sweeps across my breasts , and that was it! She DID , call the breast center to schedule me with one of the doctors most experienced with biopsies in breast implant patients( which I appreciated), but I still left feeling humiliated, discouraged, and dismissed . I now have to wait another 3 weeks with fear hanging over my head. I guess she didn’t care to think what scary thoughts patients experience when being told” we need to make sure this isn’t cancer” I see all of her positive reviews here. Well, I either caught her on a bad day, or she is just another surgeon who prefers the operating room and the anesthetized patient who she doesn’t have to relate to, have compassion for, or listen to.
I went to Dr. Lim for lumpectomy surgery. She was very clear about what she would do and how she would do it. She told me I would need two incisions, one to remove the tumor and one to remove the lymph nodes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that she was able to perform both procedures using only one incision. After about a year, the scar was barely visible. I will always be grateful to her for removing cancer from my breast and from my life!
I left in tears after my visit with Dr Lim. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a doctor. I asked her to explain my impending surgery and her reaction told me that my fairly straightforward questions were an annoyance to her. Her lack of explanation, general demeanor, and indifference to her patient made me very uncomfortable. At one point she told me she was feeling “negativity” from me and got up and left after I asked to be referred to another doctor. I love the service and care I’ve received at Methodist in the past, and delivered my first child there a few months ago. But Dr. Lim did not even come close to living up to those experiences.
Dr. Lim and her staff did an outstanding job of counseling me, and then performing surgery to repair two hernias. The entire experience exceeded every expectation. The staff and facilities at Methodist Hospital in the medical center are also outstanding. I highly recommend Dr. Lim

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
