I am a second-time donor about to begin the "final stage," and I highly recommend the Donor Solution. My donations will be just over 5 years apart, yet they still have the same compassion and attentiveness they did when I went through the first time. As a donor, I am so thrilled to be part of a family's story. I was an IVF baby myself (though with my mom's eggs), so I grew up understanding intimately the struggles with infertility and loss. The process is long and tedious, and it is rarely fun. Those who go into egg donation just for the eye-catching dollar signs will be sorely disappointed: this is something far beyond the monetary that so many people seem to think. (No, mom, not selling grandbabies on the black market. 🙄🙄🙄) This process requires intense determination and a deep understanding that it is for the new family. Few will understand, unless they have faced the same darkness that comes with infertility... The Donor Solution has always facilitated with amazing specialists who help ease some of the stresses, but it is still weight, knowing that my body and her body must sync just right and that they are depending on me to make their dream come true. If you are considering jumping into the donor pool, I highly encourage you to do so. It is incredibly rewarding, knowing that you are enabling another woman to experience motherhood as she has imagined it, especially having had my own children. It is also very sombering. It requires dedication through whatever is asked, patience as everything syncs and meds do their work, and a steady hand for those weeks of shots. For parents considering using Donor Solution, I can only speak for myself. They are very thorough, from my own history to my family history to a detailed genetics screen. They work with amazing professionals, and they are exceedingly kind, even after the procedure is complete. I highly recommend the Donor Solution.
