Vital Allergy & Asthma Center's Online Review Report Card

First I will start with saying the staff is lovely and caring, absolutely no complaints there. Dr. Vital is a very fun personality and makes the experience feel easier and lighter. However, I would not recommend this clinic overall. I went here for severe allergies and worsening eczema as a result. The main “treatment” they offered me was high amounts of steroid shots and very high dose antibiotics (even when I didn’t have an infection). The usage/dependency on steroid shots this practice has is bordering on dangerous. Sure, a steroid shot maybe once or twice a year in emergency situations is completely safe. But this year, 2025, I was given 3 rounds of high dose steroid shots in less than two months. I saw 0 improvement and my condition and felt like I left with more questions than answers. I believe Dr. Vital is a great doctor for some people, but not for people like me with chronic and complex illness.

Dr. Vital and PA Carlos have helped me immensely with my eczema and allergies! I highly recommend.

I recently came to see the doctor for lifelong allergy issues. They recently worsened and I lost my sense of smell which prompted me to make an appointment. I came in an saw the doctor and was given a full panel allergy test that revealed that I am severely allergic to so many things- many unavoidable! I made the decision to go thru with RUSH immunotherapy which I will do next week. Although my insurance is a nightmare, EVERYONE at the office has been soooooo patient and professional. From the front desk, Marina is amazing. Thanks to her I finally fully understood my insurance coverage. Anna was amazing, as well as Tarika the MA. The billing department was also so understanding of my financial concerns and very thorough. Dr. Vital himself is one of those people who feels like family from the moment you meet. He is hilarious and full of charisma. Based on the way he took care of me I really feel that he is in healthcare for all the right reasons. I feel really confident about my treatment and getting my quality of life back. What a team.

I had a great experience with everyone at the office. From the first appointment, they were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I was seen by PA Carlos Ramirez who took the time to thoroughly explain my allergy triggers, testing results, and treatment options, which helped me feel much more in control of my symptoms. The office staff was also friendly and efficient, making each visit smooth and stress-free. Thanks to Carlos I’m finally finding relief and better understanding how to manage my allergies. Highly recommend!!

This is absolutely the best physician I have ever seen. Dr. Vital and his team saved my life. They were able to identify what my allergies are and now my life is much better. The offices are very accommodating with awesome service. Dr. Carlos Vital is the best allergist in Houston and Southeast Texas. My entire family comes to see Dr. Carlos Vital and his staff.

Worst clinic EVER! Waited for over 2 hours to see the physician, our total visit was over 4 hours, medical staff is the rude and unkind, staff did not disclose or communicate up front regarding billing, did not explain testing process or medications/injections needed after testing, the nurse that administered my sons shot hurt him while giving him the injection. I had never heard my son scream and cry so loud after an injection to his thigh. He screamed and cried so much and he could not walk or put pressure on his leg after his shot. I obviously never returned to this clinic, and when I needed medical records for a recent hospitalization and specialist follow up they refused to release his records unless I paid $$$.

Vital Allergy is THE place to go. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Dr. Vital listens to and addresses all concerns, and most importantly, he’s quick to identify the cause of our suffering and put a treatment plan in place. My son is able to play sports comfortably despite his asthma/allergies thanks to the care we receive from this practice. From the office staff to the doctors, you can trust you’re in good hands. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

100% do NOT recommend. I took my family to the astoria location and their treatment was sub-par and a joke. I paid TOP dollar for low class inferior treatment, and the staff were OVERLY unfriendly. The waiting room was shabby and the patient rooms were outdated. Their breathing test was NOT up-to-date. Honestly, go ANYWHERE else.

Carlos was amazing! He went above and beyond during my appointment—extremely charismatic, attentive, and genuinely took the time to understand all of my needs. I left feeling informed and empowered to better manage my allergy and asthma issues. I even experienced immediate relief after my visit! The entire staff was kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. I truly enjoyed my experience at this office and definitely plan to return. I highly recommend Carlos and his team!

The care and knowledge of Vital allergy and asthma at Vital allergy and asthma center is impressive! He has treated my daughter for the past 7 years now and has even treated my sister, dad and myself. Everyone I refer to him is pleased and repeat customers. My daughter is attached to Ms Nikki and Ms Delandra due to their care for her. I’m so grateful we are Dr V’s patients! Care here is a 10/10!
