Dr. Fan did a emblibical hernia repair on me about 5 years ago. He did a phenomenal job. Ill be seeking him again for a different surgery now. But im sure he will do a phenomenal job again.

Dr. Fan is a very professional doctor. Not only did he provide many valuable opinions and suggestions throughout the process, but even though I saw he was swamped, he was willing to listen to the patient's condition. What's worth mentioning is that his team is excellent and works efficiently, allowing me to recover as soon as possible. I highly recommend him to anyone who has varicose veins.

Dr. Fan did an amazing job on my husband's hernia repair surgery. My husband had a very large hernia that he put off getting take care of for 20 years. Dr. Fan fixed him all up and is an extremely good surgeon. Lydia in the front is also very helpful. Definitely recommend him. We are so grateful.

Doctor Zhen Fan is truly the best surgical doctor in Houston. He Is not just good at what he does, he is HIGHLY SKILLED. He repaired a rather large umbilical hernia for me “today” that was really pushing my insides through and hurting me daily. He was always very patient with me even when I had to reschedule a few times. He took the time to call me and go over things on the phone in detail. He was always very confident in what he could do for me and he delivered. He went above and beyond and fixed the esthetics of my belly button because the hernia was directly inside of it causing it to become messed up a bit, and he did all this with photos showing my insides before and after. He uses assisted robotics so even though I had found a few other doctors that offer laparoscopic procedures they did not use the aid of robotics to help create perfect applications within the procedure. Two other very important details to mention is that he isn’t just super precise and talented, he cared enough about me and my pain and nervousness that he decided to give me a “nerve block” which essentially helped reduce my pain after the procedure, without that I would have been in serious pain because of how much was needing to be done on this hernia. The second thing he did to comfort me and reduce pain was add a brace to my stomach “before” I woke up so it helped to keep pressure in the correct direction on the newly repaired areas. This was very helpful and made a big difference for me. If you require a hernia repair, you will not find anyone better than this doctor anywhere. He could write the book and teach the process which I believe he even does for patients who are okay with this. After all, in the end, spreading knowledge that helps provide better outcomes is very kind and useful for all who suffer from a hernia which is tons of people daily. Truly the best surgical doctor there is. Have had two procedures with Dr Fan, both have been a success and he has done a great job with me during my recovery time period as well. Will highly recommend to anyone looking for a surgeon. To any mommas out there, my first procedure was done 3 weeks after I had given birth and him and his staff took care of me and made sure the anestesia provided was breastfeeding friendly for my body .

This man is a wizard and truly cares about his patients. He did surgery for me on a Friday and was there early Saturday morning asking me how I was, Saturday night, early Sunday morning and Sunday night & for three more days. He didn't pop his head in say hello and run, he asked how I was, listened, walked around doing things and was with me at least 20 -30 minutes each time like I was family. This man has talent and a big heart to go with it. I was cut 6" and have no scar to show for it, completely healed.
