I chose this doctor after the one my insurance chose for me wasn't available for months, so after much research I luckily found Dr. Zimmerman and I'm so very thankful that I did. He is an "old school " doctor who cares about his patients and doesn't care about the "politics " of the medical industry. He listens and talks to you like a friend you've known forever and if you have a concern he has a concern. If I lost my insurance today I would pay cash to see him. I've has no problem getting referrals in fact the lady here that does the referrals went totally out of her way a 2 or 3 times to get my 2 referrals right. I left thanking the lord I found this doctor. He is a God sent. I came here with about 6 issues I wanted to address and we are working on them 2 at a time. I appreciate him and how he treats me. Never a long wait and spacious waiting room. As you can tell I cant say enough about this doctor, let me say not only the doctor but EACH AND EVERY person that works with him has been so very helpful and very accommodating. I've found my doctor's office for life! I'm definitely editing my review and considering changing PCP's I absolutely love Dr. Z but since this new company WellMed has came in and taken over they definitely lost a few stars. The never answer the phone when the do they never call back, can't get a referral, their phone calls some central location somewhere. The Dr. Zimmerman is an amazing doctor but there's ⁴

I had been going there for over 10 yrs. Dr Zimmerman is a wonderful man. But the management company that runs his office and nurses now is the WORST! 0 star for office management. I stopped going after this review. My new Dr sent me straight to the Cardiologist and they installed a new AORTIC VALVE within weeks of this review. Zimmerman's people repeatedly blew off my appointments and withheld my prescriptions. That's when I wrote this review and found a new DR. I was fed up! If I stuck with that office any longer, I would be DEAD. That is NOT an overstatement! OUTRAGIOUS!

I flew in from Mexico for several medical appointments arranged on a Friday. I arrived at the door to this office at the appointed time and found it closed. Calling the number on the door gave me someone who told me the office was closed because of bad weather (it’s cold). They said they had tried to call me, although there is no record of this on my phone. Everything else in Houston was open - airlines, roads, my other doctors’ appointments, fortunately. I flew to Houston from Puerto Vallarta solely for medical visits and will leave on Sunday. This person may or may not be a good doctor but their commitment to patients is clearly lacking. Unbelievable.

Dr. Zimmerman is simply the best doctor I have seen. I work in the medical field, and I have not been able to find another physician that truly cares about the overall well-being of their patients.

Don’t book any appt with this unprofessional. They STILL hand you paper slips for medications which gets you all the troubles once the pharmacy trying to change the medication into something that would be covered. I have been contacting both ends myself. They dont accept any request from the pharmacy in timely manner. Making excises that they haven’t received faxes that was sent to them! On my third-fourth week of communicating with them they hang up on me when I was just explaining that I need to know the status of the pharmacy request. I called 3 times after and they put me on hold or take my call to hang up on me! I’m sick! I need the medication ASAP! Plz be aware of them they are inhumane and very rude.

Dr. Zimmerman was my physician for decades. He is a wonderful physician and a terrific human being. I happily referred many other patients to him over the years.

Dr. Z is great doctor and a great man. He knows his stuff.

It was for my annual checkup. I have been with Dr. Zimmerman since 1968. He has taken excellent care of me and my husband. Love this doctor, always available for us and worth waiting for, if you have to wait.
