Mohan Jacob's Online Review Report Card

My experience with Dr. Jacob was outstanding. Dr. Jacobs was a voice of experience, reason, & calm. He teamed me up with Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Dr. Ibrahim Yazji. I was very impressed with his communication, the quick analysis of my heart issue, & a determination of what procedures were needed. Dr. Jacobs is my cardiologist, &, I will look forward to the future under his care.

Dr. Mohan Jacob said that I had a hole in my heart and was pressuring me to have a cardiac catheterization as soon as possible. The more he pressed for it, the more I became suspicious. I went to a top cardiologist in the medical center & he said no way did I have a hole in my heart. I never went back to Dr. Mohan Jacob, I don’t trust him.

Good dignified doctor who is serious about the patient's health. I never have trouble setting up appointments and my wait is never a long period of time. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have been seeing Dr. Jacobs for 10 years.

I have been going to Dr. Mohan Jacob for 15 years- due to my having MVP. I have always gone once a year for all my test: Thallium Stress Imaging, 24 Hour Holter Monitor, Echocardiogram with Cardiac Doppler, Duplex Carotid Artery Exam & EKG. When I went for all the test yesterday April 27, 2015- they said: my insurance has changed, we no longer can do these test on the same day. I had to make 3 separate appointments! I went home and call my insurance company and asked if they changed their policy…..and BCBS said “no, it was not true"- they don't require 3 separate appointments for these test- they would pay for it, like they have always done. So April 28th- I went back to Dr. Jacobs office to confirmed with them. I said, you told me yesterday that my insurance changed their policy, but I called and this is not true. The girl in Dr. Jacobs office said "their office policy changed"- admitting they told me a lie the day before. You see if I come take these test on 3 separate days instead of having them all done on one day- they make "more money". It is a sad day for me- to find out that my Dr. cares more about lying to me and making more money- than for his patient's convenience, economy, and well-fair.

I have known Dr Jacob 30 years as a professional and he is the only cardiologist I would refer my own family . He is thourough and safe . You may not during your visit discuss gardening , your pets or how the weather is ... Because he is a professional and focused on your cardiac care. If you ever have a issue with staff dont take it out on him rather make him aware of the situation he will resolve it and see that in the future it doesnt happen again. No one is a mind reader . We have all crossed paths with staff that face it are human as well. Patients feel they have the green light to act up at times as well Just communication... Dont assume based on one visit Honestly for 15 years a pt above was loyal and all was great ... One episode and ready to post negative comment .. Sounds more like a reaction or pissed off moment . They receive not one penny more if test are spread out every day of the month. U dont pay a co pay for each test or out of pocket ... Perhaps it was more of an inconvenience . I give overall perfection to Dr Jacob and Staff . The good he has done out weighs any negative comment here

Dr. Jacob is a competent cardiologist with absolutely NO ability to listen to and communicate with his patients. He fails to explain your condition to you and does not take time to listen to your complaints and concerns. In my case, he erroneously attributed most of my symptoms to the wrong problem.

Wonderful doc and staff !! I would highly recommend Dr Jacob to anyone..
