John Paul Hood's Online Review Report Card

The one star is for the receptionist and the office manager. I have never been treated in such a rude manner at this office until today. The receptionist kept cutting me off, wasn't answering my questions (in fact one of her answers was, "What do you want me to say?"). After I got off the phone with her, I called back up there and asked to talk to the office manager. When that same receptionist asked the reason I wanted to talk to the office manager, I asked her if she was the one that I had just spoke to on the phone. Instead of answering me, she immediately threw me on hold. That is incredibly rude. I cannot believe the blatant rudeness that she displayed. Then when I talked to the office manager, she kept wanting to address the reason of why I called. While I do appreciate that, she completely ignored everything that I was telling her about her receptionist being rude to me. She never once apologized for the receptionist's behavior. In fact, by the end of the phone call she was giving me the impression that she believed I was the problem. I have been going to this office for 30 years and I have never been rude to anybody up there. I worked in customer service for 20 years. I am never rude to people who work in customer service. This interaction was completely unacceptable and I am very sad to say that I will be finding a new primary care physician. This was my original 5 star review and it still stands for Dr. Hood: I've been going to Dr. Hood for about 30 years. He is my favorite. He definitely cares about his patients and is always happy to see me. I will be so very sad when he retires someday, but it will be a well deserved break for him. Love him.

Very disappointed in service last Monday / Dr did not check temp , or swollen glands or ask symptoms- or listen to lungs - did give an antibiotic but got worse and found out I had bronchitis on top of strep and had to stay home and take prednisone which I requested in the beginning but did not get !!! Very frustrating spending Thanksgiving in bed when I was supposed to host I will probably not be back Lacreta

Everything was going fine until…. I’ve had to ask to have my prescription refilled for two days. I was told it was submitted to my pharmacy…. It wasn’t. Then when I called back to ask where the refill was they said they had to “figure it out”. So it was or was not sent to the pharmacy?? Who knows. And now I am waiting “for a manager” to call me back because they need to “figure it out”. And… “we called your pharmacy and we’re on hold for a half an hour”. But I’ve called 5 times today and was never put on hold…… idk. I liked this office but I can’t tolerate being lied to.

This review is only based on my experience with the nurse practitioner she is very rude! She wanted me to come back the next day for bloodwork then a few days later to go over it which was fine until I requested an order to go to an outside lab. I explained to her that I worked in a doctors office as well and I’m not able to leave work early three days in one week. She then said if you work 8-5 how can you get it done I explained that I could get bloodwork done on my lunch break have it sent back to them and come in office to review the results. She literally walked out with an attitude. My husband sees Dr. Hood and has nothing but nice things to say about him. My first and last visit!
