Martin Reinke's Online Review Report Card

Gosh can't say ENOUGH about Dr Reinke! . Have used him for years! Love his concern and great skill. Wouldn't go anywhere else!  Staff is top of the line!

Very odd doctor...My mom has advanced macular and glaucoma and her eyes/vision are horrible.  Without the boring details, I will summarize and say it honestly seemed as though the Dr. was pissed off at my mom because her eyes are so bad.  There is nothing he can do so I guess that makes him feel less than spectacular and he doesn't appear to be fond of that.  Try a little kindness even if you can't do anything.  It goes a long way!

Waiting an hour for a scheduled appointment on a Tuesday in Southlake. Not happy about that. Surgery on first eye cataract went well.

I was referred to Dr Reinke in June 2021.  I started calling his office the next day.  I called constantly from june 2021 - August 2021. The phone just continued to ring. I left several messages. I did not receive any return calls.  In August someone finally answered  my  phone call. The receptionist said they had phone problems.  I  did not think a doctor's office would allow their phones to be down that long. I went ahead and scheduled my appointment.  It was my first visit.  I arrived early for my appointment, filled out my paperwork and waited patiently.  I noticed the patients that were there before me, and after me were all called into the office. The were seen and left.  I was the only one in the lobby, I saw some of the staff walk past the lobby, looked at me and kept walking.   I noticed a doctor was talking to 2 men working on the receptionst sliding window.  He talked to them for a very long time, showing them the problem with the window.  I finally asked the receptionist is there a problem. It had been almost an hour.  She did not say! sorry or give a reason for the delay.  I felt hurt and upset.  I was about to leave.  I decided to stay, because I felt they wanted me to leave.  So, I stayed to ask the doctor. Why did it take so long? I was finally called into the office.  I immediately asked the first assistant. Why did it take so long to call me in to see you. I didn't see any other patients here. She did not even say sorry! She just said, maybe it was your paper work. I arrived early to fill out my paper work. So, that should not have been a problem. I asked, why didn't someone come and let me know what was going on. She did not answer me.  Doctor Reinke finally came in. It was the same doctor that took his time talking to the men working on the receptionist window while I waited in the lobby.  He walked in laughing and talking to his assistant. They did not look at me, or even saying hi!  He just reached over and gave me a fist bump. He was about to check my eyes.  I asked, why did it take so long for me to be seen? He did not say, I'm sorry! He said, he did not know. I felt so hurt and disrespected. The doctor and his staff were so uncaring. I was the only brown skin person in the office. I was the only patient left alone in the lobby for almost an hour. No staff member came out to try and find out what could be wrong.  I will not be going back to Dr Reinke's and will not be refering anyone.

I highly recommend Dr. Reinke. Due to glaucoma and cataracts I made the switch from seeing an optometrist last year. I wish I had made the switch years earlier as I have received A+ care and treatment. Thorough exams and evaluations each visit and recent cataract surgery have been excellent and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and caring. He definitely deserves my 5 star rating!

New patients are booking 3 months out at both locations! That’s insane!

I was supposed to be a new patient of Dr. Reinke. I scheduled an appointment with his Southlake Office just over 2 weeks ago for 8:30 AM. I have had serious eye pain which is possibly a complication with other serious health issues that even waiting 2 weeks was nerve wracking. I got a call today, the day before my appointment, saying they need to reschedule me. I asked what their method of prioritizing who gets rescheduled and who gets to keep their appointment, because this was scheduled weeks out. She said it's because I'm a new patient. So that tells me they don't have open arms for new patients, despite their ailment and urgency.

I have been seeing Doctor Reninke for 5 years now, When I was sixty my eye sight just continued to worsen until my optometrist refereed me to Doc Reinke, I had the Cataract surgery and I have been enjoying 20/20 vision ever since. I have never had to wait any longer then you would expect to wait at a Doctors office. I like his staff they are very professional. I would trust them with my eyes.

If you like to wait for two hours to see a doctor, then go see Dr Reinke. Worst office management I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing.
