Katy Internal Medicine Associates's Online Review Report Card

This  office was consistantly  the worst experience I have ever had with a medical practice. Front desk rude. Return calls not timely.  Written orders by nursing wrong 4 times for the same order.  LONG WAIT  when no one in the waiting room.Office manager not helpful. Did not get to see Dr. Chung except for initial session. I had brought another family to the practice when I came.  They are having the same kind of experience. Now looking for a caring doctor .

Rude Customer Service, Rude Employees and Dr/Physicians are supporting the attitude of their UNPROFESSIONAL emlployees. Dr Chung is very incapable and not worth the credit. He doesn't like bad reviews and will call out patients for being harsh when bad reviews are given, but yet they have no regard or not even an ounce of empathy & concern for their patients, considering he is the PCP.  They do not like to be updated by other doctor's regarding their patients condition when seen but other doctor's their office will call you and tell you to stop giving them updates.  They have no issues hanging up on other Doctor's employees and let alone their patients too. Do yourself a favor and find another Doctor that will have more compassion for their patient, a Dr that actually loves their job and not just love having the title in front of their name. They do not know how to treat patients (people in general) with respect.

I have been a patient of Katy Internal Medicine for three years. I have a chronic condition so I have regular appointments. But once I was very sick at night and needed medicine so I called. The doctor was fast and nasty. He talked over me and would not let me speak. He just wanted to get off the phone. If you use them for your primary care doctor, they wont help you if you ever get sick at night. They will just tell you to go to the hospital. It's their policy.

My wife and I are looking for a new primary physician in the Katy area. The receptionist was rude when my wife scheduled the appointment. She asked if she could speak to someone else who spoke better English. My wife speaks 3 languages and everyone seems to understand her clearly. I arrived 17 minutes late. I'm new to the area and I Initially went to the wrong building. The nurse told me that Dr. Campana already left the building. Really? I take responsibility for being late, but the receptionist (Colleen) could have handled the situation much better. I have to ask myself, are these the people I want to deal with if my family has a real medical crisis?

Great doctors and family care!Dr. Chung has been may personal physician for over 15 years. My wife and son are also calling on him. I've never had a better physician and give credit to my current state of healthiness to Dr. Chung and the good physicians at KIMA. Over the years I have watched this practice grown and grow. They are friendly, have a strong network of referrals and contemporary solutions for health. I do not find long waits most time and if I have an urgent need I have usually been able to get immediate care from a nurse practitioner. The location off of Grand Parkway gives you easy access to their lot and the modern building makes you feel more comfortable that you will be getting the latest in healthcare.

I searched for a nice doctor and found this practice and Dr. Venessa Tan. This practice and this particular doctor and her assistants are extremely rude and they do not know how to communicate with each other or with their patients. I just got a letter today from them which stated that they no longer wanted me to be their patient! Of course, I am shocked by this, as they never indicated to me on my last visit on December 27, 2016 or since then, that there were any problems with them whatsoever. I had sent Dr. Tan a letter concerning one of my prescriptions regarding a Prior Authorization and this is how I am treated!! I had a bad feeling about this practice/doctor when I had my first visit!! They are way too busy and they have too many patients to handle efficiently; they do not know how to treat their patients with kindness and dignity nor do they know how to effectively communicate with their patients. The assistant over there was extremely rude to me on the phone and said that there would be a $15.00 charge for Dr. Tan to do a simple Prior Authorization to Optum RX regarding my prescriptions. I was very shocked by Dr. Tan's Assistant in which she had a bad attitude and was very rude to me. I got some of the same feelings when I saw Dr. Tan. She won't let you speak up and talk to her without her stopping you in mid-sentence. How rude is that? I want a doctor that I can trust and talk to openly as well as communicating with their staff, if necessary. I had a wonderful doctor, Dr. Hung Le, who passed away suddenly in February, 2016, and he too was also an Internal Medicine doctor and had his own private practice. It was difficult to look for someone else to fill his shoes. I had a very bad feeling when I went Katy Internal Medicine Associates for my very first visit. The waiting room was had several people there and gave me an uneasy feeling. I was used to a small practice environment that was friendly, personable, and very professional!! I do not recommend this practice or it's doctors to anyone out here in Katy, as my experience with them was shocking and they were rude and unprofessional at all times. Bottom line is they have way too many patients, the doctor I saw, Dr. Tan, was rude as well as her personal assistant and they do NOT know how to communicate with or treat their patients with kindness, compassion, concern, with care and with dignity!! They just drop you in the grease like you are no one. They are horrible!!

I just tried to call and make an appointment for my husband and I didn't quite understand what the receptionist said as she mumbled into the phone, I asked her what did she say and she literally SCREAMED into the phone (still mumbled).  I hung up because as a customer I do not need to be treated that way.  VERY RUDE Receptionist/Appointment Taker!

Horrible reception service and nurse response. Never ever received a  call back. Did a test over a year ago and still cannot get the results.

Horrible experience. The receptionist who was making the appointment was extremely rude. I see Dr. Campana but will not be going back.  Very disappointed.

Love Dr Reininger and staff. Also Dr Meta took care of my daddy at Spanish meadows nursing home and he and his staff treated him with dignity and respect.
