had three appts 1st one over an hour late 2nd one over 45 minutes late dr Nguyen and associates need better office management. This place is ridiculous. If they can't keep appts don't schedule them

Office staff is awful. They scheduled me for 8:15 and I waited 30 mins just for labs. They acted like I was crazy for showing up on time for my appointment because apparently labs don’t start until after 8:30. The front desk lady was so rude to everyone who came in and was even screaming to the other office staff about one patient’s past due balances. I felt so bad for the other patient she was humiliated in front of a whole waiting room of people. I am also getting frustrated with being scheduled with practitioners who are not my doctor and do not know my case history at all. Will likely be switching doctors soon.

I have been bringing my 83-year-old mother to Oncology Consultants of Katy for several months now as she continues her treatment and battle with cancer. I cannot say enough about the incredible care and compassion shown by the medical staff here. The doctors, especially Dr. Rakkhit, are absolutely phenomenal — knowledgeable, attentive, and truly invested in their patients’ well-being. The infusion lab nursing staff are above reproach: extremely kind, caring, patient, and professional. They treat my mother with such dignity and tenderness, even as she faces multiple health challenges. Their warmth and empathy make a very difficult experience far more bearable. Unfortunately, our experience at the front desk has not been as positive. The young lady working the reception area in the mornings seems to lack the patience and compassion that are so evident in the rest of the staff. Her demeanor and communication style made an already stressful day even more difficult. I understand that everyone faces their own challenges, but a little kindness and understanding go a long way — especially in a setting where patients and families are already under great emotional strain. Despite this, I remain deeply grateful to the doctors and nurses at Oncology Consultants of Katy. Their professionalism, skill, and compassion truly make a difference in their patients’ lives. With a bit more attentiveness and empathy at the front desk, this facility would be absolutely exceptional in every way.

La Dra Alattar es excelente

I do not recommend Dr Alattar. I’m truly not one to leave a negative review and never have, but I hope my comment allows for change to be seen. Dr Alattar used to be one of my absolute favorite specialists and I have a lot. I would tell my family how much I loved her and that I really appreciated her being on my team of doctors. I trusted her so much. Then all of a sudden a year or so ago, every time I’d be seen, she wouldn’t come see me… they’d send her physicians assistant. When I make an appointment to see a doctor, I expect to have the appointment with that doctor. If you’re going to have patients seen by the physician assistant then this needs to be stated at scheduling. For months and months, I wouldn’t see Dr Alattar. They’d tell me to message on the portal and I would NEVER get a response. EVER. As a professional, you must be held to a standard of getting back to your patients. Will it sometimes take 24-48 hours? Absolutely. But not responding is not and should not be acceptable. Dr Alattar also had me in tears at my last appointment with her saying that there was “no way I had a specific diagnosis and that she would call and tell any specialist that.” Later to find out, that I do indeed have that diagnosis and instead of making me feel heard, she made me feel less than for even bringing it up. This isn’t ok. None of this is ok and it needs to be addressed. Not to mention, I had to even ask the PA to go get Dr Alattar because I hadn’t seen her in months in my appointments. Lastly, Dr Alattar would say things to me such as “celebrities have surrogates all the time” not even recognizing the weight of what she was saying. As a teacher, I’m held accountable for how I treat my students and families. Doctors need to be held to the same standard. Having chronic illnesses is bad enough…patients should not have to worry about being believed, fought for, cared for, etc. by their doctor. I pray for only good things to be in her future, but I do hope that change happens for her current and future patients. I wish them all the good health in the world for their future. To Vanessa at the front desk, thank you for always being a welcoming presence! You always made me feel heard! And to the 2 nurses drawing blood at the Katy office, thank you for always caring and taking care of me. I appreciate you both and you’re wonderful at what you do.

This place is awful. The office manager didn’t take the time to listen to our insurance representative stating we had coverage and when it came time for the appointment wouldn’t see us until the benefits were cleared up, which could’ve been handled that day before we got there.

THE BEST!!! Dr Rakkhit and staff are simply the best. I’m 7 years out and they’ve been like family to me the entire time. So grateful for them.

Love love the ladies here from the Nurse Practicioner to the front desk lady Vanessa to the check out with Ms Nancy! We can’t forget the best nurse Monica plus the ladies who take our vitals and draw blood so Effortlessly! Wonderful Team! Thank You

Completely unprofessional, unresponsive billing department. They charged me twice for the same office visit. Despite numerous phone calls over several months and very well-documented proof I had already paid, they continued to ignore my inquiries while sending the same bill and threatening collection letters without any valid explanation. On principle, I refused to pay twice for the same visit. The bills and letters ultimately stopped, but without any explanation or apology from Oncology Consultants. Poor staff communication with Quest Labs resulted in an incorrect blood test order, for which I was forced to pay (or else lose access to necessary bloodwork), as well as another office visit for which the Oncology Consultants nurses were completely unprepared. This team wasted a significant amount of my time over the course of a year and created unnecessary, completely avoidable frustration. Overall, the worst doctor experience in my lifetime. Patients deserve better. I strongly recommend anyone considering Oncology Consultants look elsewhere.

02/09/2024. My sister and I enjoy coming to this office and I love seeing all the staff. They’re always welcoming ,friendly and helpful upon check in Alex Nguyen .MD He is very nice I’m loving person .very knowledgeable and professional ,caring for the patients and checking out. Ms. Afton Dickerson NP Genetic Counseling and testing cancer ,prevención,survival and wellness ,she are great Providing care . I never feel rushed and she always takes the time to sit and talk with me. I wish every doctor’s visit could be like this one. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you again and I’m glad to be your patient.and take care my sister . The name of oncology someone time scared Al families and the patients, not all appointments is for cancer ,and treatment. The oncology’s in we are case we have appointment for hematologist Dr. Aston Dickerson. Genetic specialist counseling and testing cancer ,cancer prevention survival and wellness , she is a wonderful person .we’re weighting for lab genetic results . Is very important the genetic test specifically when the family have genetic inheritance on the father’s or mother’s side . Ligia and Martha
