List of Texas Pain Institute's Reviews
If I could give a zero, I would. They go out of their way not to help. If you are in pain and need assistance, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I have been going to Texas Pain Institute (TPI) since 2021 for periodic RF ablations on my cervical spine, and the treatment I receive from Dr. Bhatla and Erin, his nurse practitioner are consistently outstanding. They explain each procedure in great detail and both take the time to answer all of my questions. I never feel rushed at my appointments. I have met with Erin on three different occasions and she is a delight to work with. I am very pleased with Keller office of TPI.
I've read the recent reviews and it confuses me, because the entire staff has always been very kind to me, as has all of the PA's and Dr. Bhatla as well. I've been going there for well over year!
6 years of "who are you" and "why are you here"....... Do not sell your soul for pain relief. Just don't do it. Take a quick look at the indeed job reviews section for employees at Texas Pain Institute. That says it all about the atmosphere in this place. The saddest part is that the people going here are suffering and want to make it stop so they will do anything to make that happen but it’s all in vain. It is a lose, lose game. The latest, newest PA had zero decorum and looked hungover. Dr. Bhatla is finally jaded which sucks for the patients and I even feel bad for him. He was fresh faced 6 years ago. Try other options or go somewhere else.
IMO- MELOXICAM IS NOT A SAFE DRUG! Read about its side effects! They prescribed this to me instead of Tylenol 3 after I explained I had been on T3 for 20 years no side effects because my body doesn't break down the codeine the same way as others. I get a more mild effect but it still works. This was in their files but they still prescribed me meloxicam. Meloxicam is not a simple, more mild drug which was my take away. It has severe side effects. Google it...
I'm concerned about the negative reviews not only here on YouTube, but also Google. I scheduled an appointment, but based on my interaction, then the reviews I decided to cancel, I take my health care very seriously, and am at a stage in my life that I do not want unnecessary drama, or tension. It's important to me that my doctors can work together to help manage my complex medical history, and I'm not confident this can happen in the atmosphere that the doctors are willing to over look, the staff can make or break the patient/doctor experience.
The front office is a particularly special mix of unwilling to help, disinterested, unfriendly and seemingly uninterested in helping anyone but themselves do less work. Every single interaction has been a headache. The only reason for the two positive stars is that the providers are helpful, caring and work to find sustainable solutions for patients.
The scheduling/front deck staff that work at the keler location are the worst. From the time you walk in they are rude, can't make eye contact and overall just seem like they hate their lives. The only thing that keeps me coming back is my actual doctor. I've already tried to be seen at another location but can't due to my insurance.
Update: after the staff met regarding mine & others complaints, the staff has done a complete turn around! They are efficient, courteous and kind! We all deserve a chance to regroup(we never know what’s going on in another’s life or day)… I’m happy to say it’s been a great recovery! The dr is AWESOME… but his front office staff are very discourteous!!! I had called the office to verify our appointment times because my husband and I were both going and I wanted to make sure that I didn’t have it wrong. The person on the phone told me that our appointments were at 11:30. I even asked about my husband as well and they said yes. We drove an hour and a half to the doctor and arrived at our appointments by 11:27 and when we walked through the door; the dark haired staff member looked up and simply said, “Name?”… no greeting or anything! I said our names and she rudely said, his appt was at 11:15 … I immediately said, “ I called and verified that they were both at 11:30 because I was confused about the times…”… Her response was,” That must’ve been the main office…” And I said, so you won’t see him?” and she rudely said, “No!” First of all, who cares if it was the main office or not! I called! there should’ve been some kind of polite response from her. Such as, “I am so sorry that that happened, but we can’t see him today.” I would’ve been upset, but not as upset as I was with her rudeness and condescending attitude towards me!” So, I asked her why when we weren’t even 15 minutes late and it wasn’t my fault they confirmed it wrong! She just stood up and walked away. So I leaned in and asked the other lady are you guys gonna see him today and she rudely looked at me and said, “ I’m with a patient” … I apologized and stepped back. I wasn’t sure what was happening since the other lady had just walked away. About 3 minutes later the dark haired lady came back to the window and just blurted out, “Driver’s license and insurance card!”… so I looked at her and I said, “are you gonna see my husband today?” and she bluntly and with a rude smirk said, “No!” So, I said. “I’m not seeing the Dr if my husband can’t!” We left. We will be getting a new pain dr! When you’re in the kind of pain that we are in you expect to have some kind of courteous, caring staff, and it’s really frustrating to be treated like that! It’s also sad because we really loved the doctor!
Neerav J. Bhatla, MD is amazing! Very very intelligent and great bedside manner. He is treating my condition with the upmost care. Thankful is not even enough to describe how appreciative I am to have found Dr. Neerav J. Bhatla, MD My pain was excruciating, I didn’t know what to do. Now I have peace of mind, pain under control and able to heal fully I want to THANK THIS OFFICE! For getting me in so soon and compassion towards the urgency to be seen! Thank you all! Highly recommended

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
