Luis Acosta's Online Review Report Card

One star is TOO MUCH!!! I have been trying to get my records ever since Dr. Scofield retired in March. After many calls and leaving messages for Malena Wilson, I was told they had LOST my latest file! I was finally told that they could at least give me reports of the latest tests I had done there. However, this has NEVER happened either! Now when I call, the receptionist, Marlene, just puts me on hold and then tells me that Malena is unavailable! This office needs to be put out of business!!! Don't go there!!!

Dr. Acosta is the most caring doctor I’ve come across in a long time. He takes the time to understand what is happening and go through all your available records before setting out a treatment plan. He is extremely thorough and detailed which means you are going to get the care you need. After 18 months of suffering and tests with other doctors I made it to Dr. Acosta and he found out what was wrong with me in only 2 visits. I can never thank him enough for seeing me as a patient and not a dollar sign. If you are looking for a top notch GI doctor he is your guy.

I was seen by J. Hoak and Dr. Acosta since 2013 and if it wasn’t for himself Mrs. Hoak, I would be in a worse predicament. He found a very serious disease process, I was effectively treated me and I really appreciate everything he’s done. They have a VERY proficient practice. Would recommend this office!!

One star is too much. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!!! Dr. Acosta is okay at best but his staff needs to go. The receptionist scheduled my appointment during the offices lunch break so when I got there no one was there. Absolutely no follow through no communication NO CALL BACK!!! Only come here if it is your absolutely last resort get another opinion from another Dr. Do what ever it takes not to come here.

He listens to your concerns and does not rush through the visit.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! This office is not suited to provide any form of care to the public. On the contrary, dealing with the office staff will decrease your quality of life and cause extreme amounts of stress. The lack of basic integrity and administrative skills to perform the most simple of tasks is mind boggling. I have never dealt with such negligence, not just in my 10 years in the medical field, but my entire life. It is very unfair to those patients who put their trust and livelihood into the hands of individuals who despise their job and show up to work with resentment in their hearts. May god, the universe, or some higher power illuminate their lives, so innocent patients do not suffer any longer. BEWARE.

This office is the worst. The office staff is the worst I have seen. Their stupidity is beyond words. My father went without prescription for more than a week. They sent me in circles from his old pharmacy to his new pharmacy and they didn't want to do their job. At the end of the day I had to drive and pick up his prescription. Had to tell them 5 times what the prescription was and also how to spell it. I would consider going somewhere else before going to this office.

I was to be at the clinic at 10:15 for endoscopy and colonoscopy, usually there is a 30 minute set up then procedure. I fell asleep about noon and woke up at 3:45, so I was asking what the problem was, why hasn’t the procedure been done when it was supposed to be? Dr Acosta told me I was welcome to leave! It was after 4 pm and I’d been there nearly all day! I told him no, he was doing the procedure but I’d find a different Dr for the future. After the procedure he wanted to apologize, gave me the diagnosis I’d had since 1991. Dr Acosta likes to hear himself talk, repeats himself but in my opinion doesn’t care about wasting people’s time. I need the procedures done again but won’t if I can’t get another Dr. I’ve seen many gastroenterologist’s since 1991 and never had an issue with a Dr until I met Dr Acosta.
