Dr Abel gave us the impression that he didn’t believe anything I was saying regarding the diagnosis by another Rheumatologist in north Texas. He even went as far as to tell me that my PCP was completely wrong about medical information he had given me. He has not once ordered the bloodwork that the Rheumatologist in north Texas used to arrive at my diagnosis. There have not been X-rays or MRI’s ordered by his office. How can he dispute the diagnoses given by other physicians when he hasn’t attempted to look into this himself?!

I liked Dr Able and felt as though he was thorough but I don't feel he really listened to me. I felt dismissed. I think it must be his Military background. I believe he is a good Rheumatologist and happy he is in Fredericksburg.

I have seen Dr. Abel as a patient on a couple of occasions. Very thorough and knowledgeable. Took the time to listen and understand my complaints and concerns. Thanks Dr. Abel !
