I was referred to this practice from the Peterson Regional Medical Center Emergency Room after suffering an injury to my eye. The ER said I needed to follow up with an ophthalmologist within a few days. I called the practice but they didn't answer the phone during business hours and did not return my call when I left a message. The next day I tried a couple times and finally spoke to someone who told me the soonest I could be seen for this acute injury was two months.

Dr. Alvarez is a wonderful Ophthalmologist! If you're in need of one she's the person to see! She examines you thoroughly and insures the best recommendations for your eye health. The office staff are friendly and Lindsey the Receptionist is absolutely wonderful and patient! I promise one visit with this Doctor and the staff, and you won't want to go anywhere else!

Dr, Nancy Alvarez Chedzoy is not only an excellent ophthalmologist, she is an engaging and caring doctor. She goes out of her way to help you; When my husband had cataract surgery and needed a prescription filled on a hollidy weekend she was getting ready to leave on a long-anticipated vacation... She wrote a prescription and called us to come to her house to pick it up since the pharmacy would not open until after she left. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez

First went to Dr Cravey and was not satisfied with diagnosis. I then set appointment with Dr, Alvarez and was totally pleased with the time she and staff spent checking me out. She found that I had a torn retina and immediately set up appointment with specialist the next day to make the repair. The time she spends explaining everything and bedside manner could not be better. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez and her staff.
