List of Sandra Marie Garred's Reviews
After my PCP left her practice last May I was referred to Dr Garred. My initial appt with her was rushed and she made no effort to learn about my medical history. She talked about her holistic philosophy. My 2 nd appointment didn’t go much better. . Each time I tried to talk, she interrupted me to lecture me about how drug companies are pushing medications. She never heard of biologic I’m on and ...
I had Dr. Garred for many years. Many times she was dismissive of my concerns, so much so that I ended up needing emergency surgery. When I got out of the hospital, I went to her and discussed the surgical notes. She literally said, “Eh.” She could care less. In another situation, waited two months to get in to seeing her. I had called in stating that I had pus flowing out of my foot. When I finally got in to see her, she said, “I don’t do that. You’ll have to see my PA.” It took another six weeks to get in to see him. No antibiotics were prescribed. She has horrible bedside manner. She says she focuses a lot on cardiovascular issues, but then prescribes a high fat diet. She never bothers returning calls, dismisses refill requests from the PHARMACY, and has a God complex. Save your sanity, save your health, and pass on this completely inept doctor.
You will not find a better physician anywhere. She listens to her patients, and her ears perk up when she hears something suspect. She caught my pre-cancerous cells by sending me to a specialist asap. She is kind, caring, knowledgeable, and non-judgemental. I highly recommend Dr. Sandra Garred for these reasons and more.
Difficult to get an appointment, established patients cannot speak with her office nurse and must leave a msg, do not respond to pharmacy fax refills within 48 hours and never on time. Very poor office management. Rushes thru annual physicals, misdiagnosed one emergency call.
Her big focus is obesity. She fat shames everyone I know and pitches her high fat diet. Totally inappropriate.
Responsive, kind, informative - has been very helpful with my dad during his advanced cancer diagnosis
Dr. Garred is incredibly kind and understanding. She has been highly available to us and very patient with all of our questions and calls. She has called in many emergency prescriptions. She has called us back very quickly after hours. Most of all, Dr. Garred seems to genuinely care for each of her patients and their families. If you are looking for a general practitioner, you can't find a kinder, calmer, more knowledgeable and dedicated doctor in the Texas Hill Country.
Dr Garrad is a very caring physician, she made me feel like my well being was very important to her. I highly recommend her as a personal physician .
Dr. Garred is an excellent doctor. She is very down to earth, knowledgeable and compassionate. I am so glad she is my doctor.
This woman almost killed me (actually I coded 4 times) I ended up in a coma for 6 months and in a hospital bed for 379 days all because she didn't read the lab results correctly. Here in Arizona, Valley Fever is prevalent, it is required that Internists, Pulmonologists, Cardiologists etc.. are well versed in this infection and yet I ended up having to have 3/4 of my left lung removed. Thanks to her I am permanently disabled now. Make sure to get hard copy of any visit or lab reports whenand record their calls. I came out of my coma to discovered that she and her partner had shut their entire practice down with a sign on the door that if patients needed their records to call the number they left - my lawyer did - we only received the cover sheets for each visit - no lab tests, doctors notes nothing. The day after we called to get more of my chart and the number was disconnected.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
