Very disappointed and angry with my experience. I did not feel listened to during my appointment and it was EXTREMELY frustrating and and difficult getting scheduled in the first place. I feel they did not take my concerns seriously and they offered no help. They didn’t do any further examination, or did they bother to look at my primary care files or any exam notes (or even request them). The midwife I saw, was very dismissive and made me feel like I do not know my own body and feel regret over coming in! I have called so much over the past two weeks and I was begging both my doctors for help. How can physicians do this?

I highly recommend Dr. Carlton!! She has a great bedside manner and answers all your questions without any hesitation. Very knowledgeable and a great surgeon!!! Thank you Dr. Carlton!

As and adoptive mom I couldn’t have asked for a better experience through the whole process. Our little girls birth mom and I were treated so amazing! During office visit they made sure and talked through all of our options and made us both feel so comfortable with each step. Being in the delivery room and go through the entire event was very important to me. They included me in everything and made sure that the decision we had made together were honored. We together have felt truly support by the entire staff. While in the hospital everyone of our questions were answered and everything single staff member was amazing!!! The staff truly helped make the amazing blessing even better with the treatment we received!!!!

The operation of this location is very interesting and difficult for patients. My experiences here were never pleasant or comforting and because of this I plan to never return. Each time I make an appointment and visit I will not be seen by anybody until at least 30 minutes after my scheduled time, which I also arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to ensure that I am not late. Then, I get seen by the nurse and I would have to wait another 20 minutes for the doctor/midwife/whoever you are actually trying to visit. This is not ideal for people who have to work and cannot afford to take an entire day off just to go to a doctors appointment. Additionally, I was not told that I would be getting some tests done and I thought it was just a yearly visit. These tests were arranged prior to checking in for my appointment and I did not request them, way to make a patient anxious and confused!! Additionally, my gynecologist altered one of my medications and instructed me to call her if there were any issues or questions. Well, I had a question/issue so I called my gynecologist and the nurse never gave my message to her, never transferred me to her, nor did she help. The nurse said that I need to speak to my primary care physician to get help with this. So, why am I even coming here if they are not able to help and hide information from their patients? Unfortunately, my story is not all that unique because I know other people that have had similar issues here. Save your time and money and find somewhere else to go. It is very obvious that they are not that concerned about their patients and I can ensure you that I will not be returning.

My wife and I had the opportunity to use this practice for the birth of our first beautiful baby boy. Our doctor was Wilfong, she was extremely pleasant to work with, courteous, knowledgeable, and made the entire process easy from the initial consultation and first ultrasounds - to the labor and delivery end of it at The baby place. So first, let’s talk security - the entire area felt extremely safe and secure - with locking doors to actually access the room in which we were in, they would verify identity prior to entry. Now, I’m sure these ladies sporadically got tired of my in and out, as I fetched food and other items for my wife; but that’s besides the point… they were pleasant and kind every single encounter. I never got any attitude, or negative energy - just smiles and happy people. We stayed a 4 day duration because our baby had a few things that required a little bit of extra attention - and in that time, we had the pleasure to work with multiple RN’s, midwifes, along with Dr. Wilfong herself. We worked with Liz, Jordan, Stephanie, Kenya, Morgan, Lauren - and let me tell you - every single one of these ladies were extremely knowledgeable, eager to help, please, and accommodate. Being first time parents, we had a LOT of questions - and they never made us feel like a nuisance asking, yet always gave us thorough, educational, patient responses that really shaped and built our understanding in a plethora of areas. They made sure we were comfortable, and treated our child as if they were kin to them - gently, and compassionately. Complaints - my only real complaint is that we can’t rate this practice MORE than 5 stars - because if we could, they deserve it. It takes special kind of people to do what they do and we are beyond thankful to all who were involved and shared one of the best few days of our lives with us. Once again, thank you for giving us this opportunity and helping to ensure that our baby was thoroughly healthy in every aspect, and for the attention to detail and energy during the entire duration. - Logan and Adri

OBGYNs, midwives, and nurses are GREAT! This is my first pregnancy and so far I have had absolutely no complaints with this office. Dr Carlton is my OB and the midwives are also on my care team. Carlton’s nurse Hayley is the absolute best! Incredibly sweet, sympathetic, attentive and on the ball! Dr Carlton herself is very straightforward, knowledgeable, thorough and kind. She is very busy at the hospital and seems to be on call a lot so there have been times another doctor has had to take over the appointment but it is understandable and I am not complaining. The front office staff can seem a little short sometimes but they really are sweet in my experience thus far and never seem annoyed at your calls, requests or questions. Shelly the ultrasound tech is very thorough, sweet and fun during appointments/scans. All of the midwives are great. Attentive, thorough and kind! My appointments have all been on time or at least been seen in a very reasonable time frame!

The nurses at the office are very kind as well as well as the midwifes . However, I was frequently being changed from midwife to midwife and they sometimes asked me why certain procedures were being made when they should have that in their records. Also, the wait time is horrible I would often go in at 10 am and wouldn’t get seen until 11 sometimes which is what made me be late to every appointment after the first 3 that I arrived early to. Delivery was great except for a nurse that wasn’t being considerate at all with my pain and was making rude remarks while I was in labor. Dr. Baker was my midwife and she was great! She was very thoughtful and practical as well as my checkup doctor Samantha Pierce! Other than the wait time and not having a set midwife I’d give Peterson a 5 star.

I have a feeling that because of my previous review, which I have edited since posting, could be causing other doctors to not want to treat me. So, I am adding this to my review in hopes that it will clarify some things. First and foremost, I sincerely apologize if I offended anyone with my previous review. I know it was very harsh. : ( I’d just like to say that I was extremely upset the day I posted my original review, and felt like the world was working against me a the time. All I really want is to have answers to what is causing my pain. I am so tired of living with pain every day, and it seems that no one believes me. Which could possibly because of my weight and age, but I have no idea. It makes me sad to feel that the more I try to get answers, the more I feel I’m getting judged and not getting answers because of that. I don’t know if that is true or not, it’s just how I feel about things sometimes. I’d love to be able to work again, but I can’t even work for more than a few hours without being in an immense amount of pain. I’m sorry that my pain caused me to lash out towards others, and I’m also sorry for judging the staff at Peterson’s. I know they were trying their best, and I know I could have asked more questions about what was going on with my body. It’s not their fault I didn’t get answers to questions I failed to ask. I am going to leave the rest of the review the way it was, because I feel it is accurate. The waiting time can be very long sometimes, and patients are always required to fill out the same paper work each time they visit. I’m sure there are reasons for it being that way, even though I don’t know, or probably just don’t remember, what those reasons are. I apologize if the rest of this review sounds angry. To be honest, I probably was angry at the time when I wrote the review down below. Again, I apologize for that! The reason I have added this part that you have been reading is because I want to right my wrongs, and because I regret taking my anger out on other people who were just doing their jobs. I hope that if I did offend anyone with my harsh review, that they would understand I was writing my review back then while I was very upset due to my circumstances. I was just extremely fed up and tired of dealing with my pain and disappointments. I don’t know if this will make a difference, but I hope that if anyone does read this, that I may have offended, it will at least reassure them that I am not holding anything against them! All I ask is that they would also not hold anything against me, because I made a stupid mistake out of frustration and anger. Again, I apologize for the rest of this sounding angry... Not a fan of having to fill out the same exact forms every time while I wait to be called back. Also, it would be nice if the waiting time wasn’t so long. I remember being in that building for a few hours one time, because of the wait time in the lobby and also because I had to wait in the doctors office for a long time as well. I understand leaving the office so I can change into my clothes for a few minutes, but I remember waiting for what felt like half an hour when they said they’d be back in a few minutes. I hope my insurance will allow me to go somewhere else for a check up, because I don’t want to spend half my day at the doctors office for something that will take 10 minutes to discuss.

Dr. Carlton was my obgyn and delivered my daughter. She was amazing! Great bed side manner, easy to talk to, and extremely caring. Would recommend her and Peterson Women’s Associates to all my female friends.
