I would leave 0 stars if I could. Dr Oei is very unprofessional. I noticed he never changes his gloves from patient to patient. I also had a shot in the left eye and did not wanted to wait for the numbing to take effect and hurt me pretty bad. It seems he only care about billing the insurance instead of patient care. Im already looking for a new doctor.

I highly recommend Dr. Oei and his staff. It’s a busy place to say the least, but everyone is very thorough and professional. I’ve been 3 months in a row with another in August. Each time has been a pleasant experience.

If I could post this without a star I would ! The staffing will be the first , the nurse that is a heavier woman is really rude I would have used her name but she never introduced herself did not say anything other than what way to walk and what she’s going to do like put in numbing drops in . Very unprofessional. The complete time I and my daughter sat there it was very uncomfortable and a bit ghetto once your inside. One nurse said my daughters pressure was great but her the dr said high pressure eyes never explained anything just referred to another dr after his diagnosis of nothing and see you in a month. He was rude when I was confused and questioned him of his non diagnosis after we were referred there to see him we were so easily brushed off. I’m not sure what we were told because he went from being a specialist of one thing to diagnosing another! I think I have more unanswered questions after than I have answered spent 2 1/2 hours and no new results or help. This is not the place to go for answers or comfort, you will leave frustrated and confused! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Dr Oei performed a vitrectomy in December of 2021 after monitoring my condition for progression over a few months. The surgery was very successful and I have enjoyed excellent results. Dr Oei and his staff have been kind, patient and thorough at every point of my experience. I am very grateful that his services have been available to me.

Dr. Thomas Oei is an outstanding ophthalmologist (in Kerrville and San Antonio Texas). His office and staff are top notch (in Kerrville) and his surgery center in San Antonio is state of the art. I had a macular pucker which needed repair and Dr. Oei did a wonderful job evaluating, correcting, and providing post-op care. I recommend Dr. Oei as the ophthalmologist that you should "look" into for all of your eye needs.

It all started last February when a simple eye surgery miserably failed and I was immediately referred to Dr. Oei. Dr. Oei was very compassionate, caring, and reassuring, to say nothing of how highly skilled he is. He performed two surgeries installing a new lens and cleaning up other problems with my left eye. He also agreed to and successfully performed the surgery on my right eye when I was ready. While my left will never be perfect, I do have vision in it and my right eye is great. I have only Dr. Oei to thank for his skill, patience, understanding and compassion. I cannot recommend him too highly.

Totally cleared up the floaters in my left eye. Very thorough pre & post op.
