Horrible staff at this place! They do not care about their patients. You never get to see the doctors and the nurses do not care. A patient's care is not a priority to them they're just a #. They leave the patients to fend for themselves. Horrible medical care horrible staff.

My review is late, but still stands.My mom and i arrived at the emergency room via ambulance because of atrocious lower abdomen pain she had been having, to the point of falling to the ground and not being able to walk. Upon arriving inside, the medics rolled my mom (who was on a gurney) up against the wall by the receptionist desk. The medics went up to the receptionist desk and they began chatting, even cracking jokes. Periodically through their fun little hang out, the medic would ask my mom few questions about what she’s experiencing. They did not seem to care as they weren’t even making eye contact with us, but rather looked like helping us was a chore and a drag.A nurse came out quite a while later, we are still in the hallway by the front desk, and asked a few more questions about what my mom is experiencing. The nurse suggested that my mom, 53 and hadn’t had a period in years, was just having bad menstrual cramps. Fast forward to when we’re finally placed in a holding room where my mom could barely stay still or quiet due to pain, a doctor comes in and explains she has diverticulitis. I asked how serious her condition was, he said not serious at all. Her colon ended up rupturing during her emergency stay not even 5 hours after we were misinformed about her having “very mild and normal diverticulitis”. Lmfao. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks, and when she was discharged her life was completely changed as she had to wear an ostomy bag for over a year. Rather than running all the tests they needed to and taking her abdomen pain seriously, they took the idea of her having mild diverticulitis and ran with it. They diagnosed the diverticulitis without evening running tests for it. And then her colon ruptures in their care because of it. Beautiful! The staff were almost all very negative, too.

There was excellent coordination in sign in to and including the MRI procedure. All staff operated in a very professional matter.

Very professional healthcare workers, couldn't of asked for better care. It took a while to get the care needed because they were overwhelmed in the ER but once I got to the floor it was excellent care until my discharge. The housekeeping crew could be more forthcoming with the maintenance. I needed my shower cleaned and it took them 2&1/2 hours until someone came to take care of it. Other than that my stay was awesome.

Nobody likes going to the hospital, particularly when it is unplanned. However, when the staff is professional, friendly, and honestly tries to help you as best they can giving the challenging circumstances, it makes it just a little easier. God bless all of the staff; thank you for all you do!

Professional dealing with the patients, high level of respecting and kind medical services

Since I have taken the first moderna shot I have been to the emergency room 3 times. HCA hospital is the only place that really cared about trying to find out what was wrong with me. All staff were very caring and easy with the needles, I had several pokes. And did alot of testing that ruled out my heart and lungs. I have sever muscle pain causing me to think that. I would recommend anyone to this hospital. DO NOT go to Livingston St. Luke's hospital, really they do not care for you at all. Anyway HCA is one of the best hospitals around . 💖

HCA is incredibly sub par.  If you can help it, go someplace else for your health care.  I went into the emergency room with abdominal pain.  I sat in the emergency room waiting area for 31 hours waiting to be seen.  In that initial 31 hours, they did triage me and they gave me antibiotics and IV fluids. After the 31 hour wait, they put me in a 1 person room in the E.R. which they converted into a 2 person room by adding another bed.  My "roomie" was an elderly man with dementia.  He was honestly as nice as could be, but I was exhausted from my 31 hour wait and had only gotten cat naps of 5 and 10 minutes here and there.  On two occasions, he scared the hell out of my by touching me while I was asleep.  I woke to him standing over me.  I asked him if he was ok and he said yes, I didn't know who was here with me.  On the second occasion, same thing, but he'd also ripped out his IV lines. Right after they took me for a CT scan and determined I had diverticulitis and an abscess in my abdomen.  They said they needed to go in and put a tube in my abdomen to drain the abscess.  After the procedure they had 4 IV's in my arms, 2 on the left arm and 2 on the right arm.  I told the nurse I felt like the right arm was leaking, my arm felt wet.  She checked it and said everything looked fine. A couple of hours later right before bed I again told her my arm felt wet and that I thought my IV was leaking.  The nurse again checked it and said she didn't see anything and that it looked fine.  The next day a nurse woke me and said they were moving me out of the E.R. and into my own room.  My bed sheet under my arm was soaked and my arm was swollen and hurt.  When I got into my own room I told my nurse that I believe the IV leaked into my arm.  She checked it and said yes, you had an IV infiltration and that my arm was very red and swollen.  She drew lines around the redness and stated she would let my doctor know.  In the end, the nurse taking my vitals was the only one to acknowledge my arm.  She brought me blankets to elevate my arm.  My arm was so painful in the evening that I asked for pain medicine and I was given morphine.  I spent a week in the hospital and when I was discharged I was given no follow up instructions  for my arm.  The day after being discharged I went to a different E.R. for my arm and they gave me pain medicine and care instructions.  They said I had the potential to lose my arm. It took me a month to be able to start using my arm again.  I apologize for the book, but I don't want you to have to endure what I did. HCA is 5 minutes from my house and I told my wife if something serious happens to me, do not let them take me there.  Thanks

My visit was not that great. I arrived at the emergency room at 7 AM and there was nobody at the front desk, but there were 2 kiosks that said, "Patient sign in". So I assumed that's where I was supposed to sign in. The person who was arriving at the front desk saw me finish signing in at the kiosk and didn't say anything. There were 2 other people in front of me and they went ahead. An hr passed and I had still not been seen. I finally went to the front desk and it turns out, the kiosk does not work. I was finally seen, but when they released me, nothing was explained. They just gave me medicine and sent me on my way without any explanation. I got a call the next day saying that i needed to schedule an appointment with a general surgeon. There is a definite lack of communication and just not really in tune with what the patient needs. Something has got to be fixed.

My nurse I had there were the best and so sweet. Def don’t want to have to go back but if I did atleast I know I’ll be well taken care of and listened to.
