List of Mary Cavnar-Johnson's Reviews
I really like this doctor.
Dr Cavnar Johnson is great however the staff and nurses are rude. I was seen for a lump found in my lung a month later I’m currently sitting on hold trying to reach this office to be seen for a referral because they didn’t take the time to see if the fax went through. Completely disappointed with the service from staff and nurses. I will be finding a new PCM after this.
Dr. Johnson is a very knowledgeable & caring doctor. She will take time to discuss what you need to do for your illness. She really cares for her patients & I would recommend her to anyone needing a family doctor. Best doc in Kingwood, Texas.
This was my first visit and the staff was Great, Dr. Mary Cavnar-Johnson was very easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable I will be coming back
5-stars was the max review we could give here but really it does not even come close to what Mary Kosco deserves! She is a top notch physician and very conscientious about everything she does. She does not stop until she finds answers and after what I have been thru with doctors in the past, I am very grateful. I referred my entire family to Mary Kosco and she has done a phenomenal job care for each of us. Having someone who looks after your health care in a personal way is assuring and offers the peace of mind I want for my loved ones!
Love this place. Convenient, easy to schedule and they care about my healthcare.
I have seen Mary Kosco since 2016. I am not one that enjoys going to the doctors at all and was resistant to going for a check up at all but my wife insisted. Mary Kosco made seeing a doctor easy, stress free, and was very thorough with checking me out so she did not miss anything. I have great respect for her and appreciate her continued care for me and my family! Thank you Mary Kosco!
Best family doctor who has cared for our family for over 20 yrs!
I have been a patient with Cavnar-Johnson since 1997. I raised a set up twins who also received care from Cavnar-Johnson...over the years, Dr. Johnson became more self absorbed with herself then she did her patients. Most recently I had my physical and well woman with her after being in NC for two years where I was on medication injections for asthma. Mary refused to refill my injection prescription with the excuse, "I am not familiar with that medication." Well guess what, you are an MD - a doctor, get familiar with it." Mary talked about her children and where they were going to school as well as her "ironman" training and results rather than focus on the patient. Recently (Dec 2, 2019) I called for hours trying to get my test results from physical when the person answering the phone put me on hold for over 15 minutes, then she picked up the phone and hung it up. When I called back, she answered and refused to apologize, rather give me two excuses: 1) I don't have any idea what happen.....2) I am the only one here...what can I help you with? when I ask for an apology, she hung up on me and refused to take my call for the rest of the day. That office is lacking I would not recommend anyone go to see Mary at this time.
I’ve been a patient of Dr Cavnar Johnson for approximately 17 years and find myself thinking it may be time to find a different doctor. Her front office staff has been consistently inept over the years. They can’t/don’t answer phone calls, don’t send lab requests in to the various labs (when they insist on doing everything electronically!), and are slow at getting prescriptions sent to the pharmacy (if you’re lucky, they might send it to the right one). The only reason for a second star is the doctor. She’s been good at helping me to manage my health, but I think there are certainly others just as good who may have an office staff worth more than 2 cents.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
