J'ai été traitée par le Dr. Rios moi aussi. Je faisais de l'anxiété et des phobies sociales. Il a compris tout de suite ce que j'avais. Ilm'a fait essayé plusieurs anti-dépresseurs... ceux de l'époque pour finalement qu'on se mettent d'accord sur l'un d'entre eux. Il a pris sa retraite et j'ai cheminé depuis. En vieillissant je me suis rendue compte que les phobies deviennent secondaire. Il faut rester dans la monde et fréquenter du monde pour pouvoir s'en sortir. Je suis très peinée de son décès. Merci beaucoup.

I just found out that Dr. Rios passed away two years ago. I am saddened and overwhelmed by grief. My condolences to his wife and family. Dr. Rios diagnosed and treated me about 37 years ago when no doctor knew what was wrong with me after multiple exams, gastroscopy, you name it. He was a superstar, yes, always reliably late and unencumbered by scheduling. A true rock star. Unique and wonderful at a time when agoraphobia and anxiety disorders were misdiagnosed and unknown to the general public. I am a survivor thanks to Dr. Oscar Rios. I was a severe case and yes, within minutes was able to confirm my diagnosis. He had a well prepared questionnaire to which I answered positive to almost all the questions. Upon looking at the sheet, Dr. Rios asked, but what about question no....not sure what? I said, yes, I admit, I have 100% of all symptoms. I went on to be treated by Dr. Rios and respect him greatly. I have immeasurable gratitude to him and the Montreal General Hospital for their help.

Dr Rios did a great job dealing with my sepsis and septic shock - which are the reasons I was admitted to the hospital in December of 2017. He removed my sigmoid colon in July 2018 and later had to put in an abdominal mesh November 2018. Both surgeries were in 2018. After one year - I feel great, no longer have any symptoms which caused the colon perforation which lead to sepsis. Dr. Rios is very professional, has outstanding bedside manners, is direct and to the point and a very good surgeon. I would trust Dr. Rios for any future surgeries - I just hope I never have to see him for that reason. Thank You Dr. Rios

I cannot in all good faith give this clinic or Surgeon any stars at all. I went to him with a simple Hernia repair. First of all I had a terrible time getting an appointment set up. At my one and only visit before my surgery ... His last words to me were "don't go looking on the internet about this as all you will see if the negative" well it appears I should have done a bit more research before going forward. I was given no written material on what to expect during the procedure- what type of mesh they were inserting into my body or what to expect after the procedure. After 3 weeks of thinking everything was going smooth -- I come up with a major infection! Let me tell you.... when you have complications from a surgery -- no other Dr will touch you! I had to go back to this fumbler to "fix" it. I spent 10 days in the hospital before being released to my home. Although I was asked several times my preference for a home health agency -- they assigned one I did not reaquest. Which has been another whole issue of frustration. Again, having issues with the clinic to return my phone calls (no one ever answers on the first call - leave a message and they return your call the following day "MAYBE" I usually had to leave a 2nd message to get a return call. I have spent the last 6 weeks living at home in "house arrest" with a wound vac attached to my body with "limited independence" (Dr's actual wording).... NOW --- my 7x3x4 cm wound has finally healed enough to be closed up to make a small thin scar -- but Dr Rios's clinic is telling me they will not do it -- I will have a scar almost as big as my fist on my abdomen for the rest of my life. This little fiasco has probably cost me my new business along with all the frustration it has caused in my personal life. Please think twice before dealing with this clinic and by all means do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions

5 july 2018 Dr. Rios died today. He was No 1. To 1 star person... I HOPE YOU GET ASS CANCER!
