Brian L Sullivan's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Sullivan has been practicing for too long and needs to retire. He botched my grandma’s hip surgery and she has to get it done again. His recommendation for everything is “physical therapy.” He also did my brothers knee surgery and his knee is now permanently bowed. Do not have him do your surgery. I hope he retires soon!

Avoid, unless you prefer to have your time wasted and enjoy HORRIBLE Service.. 1) Hour Wait, somewhat understandable 2) Dr Brian Sullivan took a 10min phone call in the middle of my appointment... RUDE !!! 3) Never sent my order to ARA for x-rays, left 5 messages with Michael, no callback.. Now i have to find another orthopedist, HORRIBLE AVOID F- Social media employee, save your fake empathic retorts, fix the problem!

Dr. Sullivan is great. He and his staff have been helpful and friendly. No problem getting an appointment; about a 10 min wait in the lobby and a 10 min wait in the exam room. He replaced my husband's knee and he's recovering quicker than expected. Only 2 negatives- 1. The strong scent in the office is overwhelming; 2. Arise Surgery Center uses contract LVN's who shouldn't be treating patients straight out of major surgery (at least this particular one), and unfortunately my husband had the same LVN both very rough nights. On a good note about Arise, their other nurses, physical and respiratory therapists, and doctors are wonderful.

When I saw the doctor, he was effecient and unhurried. But getting anyone to schedule a procedure as the doctor wanted, was a nightmare. After waiting weeks, I found out that hey didn't call the right number and never tried to follow up. After finally getting the go ahead for surgery, I couldn't get anyone to schedule it. I called the Bastrop office and the surgery center many times. After weeks, and still no schedule, I finally had to just get another doctor.

Summary: tore ACL Ask for report for 2 months No response Call repeatedly for 2 weeks daily No response Paid $500 for assistant surgeon. No receipt I’ll follow up with this is my fault for not looking up a better surgeon. Can I give a -5 star? I tore my ACL because I got attack by 2 dogs in my front yard. I asked repeatedly for all of my documents for my previous knee surgery for the the last month and I finally got a response that Gave me a report (5/31/22) that has nothing to do what I asked for. The file I need is not put in the report that I requested. I am in the second month 6/30/22 still waiting on the right report even though I have been calling almost daily the last 2 weeks. Side note they offered to have a better side surgeon if I gave them $500 cash. No receipt and untaxed.

Dr. Sullivan was great and both surgeries for my husband went well. However talking to anyone with Southwest Orthopedic Group with questions or prescription refills is impossible! Dr. Sullivan's Medical Assistant, Michael, has a total disregard for patients. Long wait times also. Based on follow up support, which is none, I would not recommend Southwest Orthopedic Group to anyone.

I do not recommend this Dr. - He was not attentive, did not follow up with my condition, did not seem to care and I did not get resolve until I switched to a more competent Ortho Dr.

I had a good experience with Dr. Sullivan. He was personal and very friendly. Yes, sometimes it was a longer wait than I wanted, but I could understand after the time he spent with me. He fixed my Mom, a friend and now me, I would recommend him for All.

Down to earth and offers expert care!

Had appointment scheduled for 10:15 today. His office called after 3 pm yesterday saying Dr Sullivan would not be in this morning to come in at 2:00 today. Drove 1 hour 15 minutes to get there to find the Dr was not in this afternoon. Will find a new Dr.
