I have called numerous times since July bc this Co he's at now, I made an appt for my "Yearly Routine Eye Exam" which is pd at 100%. They billed my Medicare as a Eye Exam Office Visit which is not the true. Now they sent me a bill to pay a $45.00 copay instead of my Yearly Routine Eye Exam that is covered 100%. After speaking with other Medicare patients, they are doing the same to them. I've worked in ins billing my whole life and this is Medicare fraud. I've asked them to correct it so my ins pays it 100% however I've been told since August, they will have Dr. Garrett call me. As of today December 18th, 2022, NO RETURN CALLS and when I do call, they tell me the same thing...the Dr will call me...is this normal ? Nope....so all you Medicare patients, you need to pay attention to your bills from his office. I've sent a certified letter and if I do not receive a call stating it's their error, we'll it's time to file a civil legal case plus I have contacted my insurance company Aetna and Medicare and my next step according to Medicare they will pull all his claims and AUDIT them. I hate doing this because I really liked him but if he's going to screw us Medicare patients, he shouldn't be practicing and if that's what it takes, I CAN GUARANTEE HIM, I WILL. IVE GIVEN HIM PLENTY OF CHANCES AND NOW IM TAKING ACTION. ITS NOT A THREAT, ITS A PROMISE. WATCH OUT IF YOU HAVE MEDICARE BECAUSE IT WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN TO YOU.

In the many years I have been seeing Dr. Garrett I have always been very satisfied with his staff and him personally. I understand he has left Berkeley, hopefully now the appointment waiting time to see him will be cut in half. I recommend him highly

My experience with Dr. Garrett was so unsatisfactory, it led me to find another doctor in the Berkeley Eye Center practice. Now that he has left, perhaps I will go back to the Katy location. He may be knowledgeable, but he did not listen to me or my needs at all, and talked over me when I objected to how he wrote my prescription for contact lenses, saying he knew what was needed. Clearly NOT. Staff was good and they were punctual, helpful and knowledgeable.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Garrett ever since I was a kid! His new location is at Grand Vision Center, a part of MyEyeDr. on Spring Green! Beautiful location!

I have been seeing Dr. Garrett for years since my lasik at Berkley. I would highly recommend. I’m sad to find out that he’s no longer at this practice. Where did he go?

The Katy Berkeley's office is the place for eye Care/ I had an appointment on 2-14-2020- I did not even have to sign in the girl at front desk said she would do for me, Olga the nurse did some of the testing before Dr. Garrett arrived. Dr Garrett finished the eye testing. (less than 1 hr) May I suggest you call Berkeley Eye Center in Katy for your eye needs. - Doris Eckermann
