John V. Puig Jr's Online Review Report Card

Even though I appreciated the job he did, he is one of the most arrogant doctors I have ever met. Does not appreciate patients that advocate for themselves. He is fine as long as you do as he says and not inquire about procedures, treatment, etc. (again, does not appreciate patients that advocate for their health). He as a terrible bedside manner. He accused me of "verbally harassing" his office staff and dismissed me as his patient yet never inquired as to the reason. The truth is, I did in fact become upset with an office staff member and some one else (not sure who she was because she didn't feel it necessary to let me know what her role was when asked). I explained the reason for my frustration and apologized for being upset while I was upset and dealing with staff that have basic skills. A decent physician would have at least inquired as to the situation that caused his patient to become upset.So very disappointed with this man and the office manager for not looking into quality control or customer service.

Go elsewhere if you want to get better. And don’t use his the physical therapist next door either. He Won’t listen to your concerns and won’t let you talk. Rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Physical therapy is a joke. No one helps or monitors you. Expect extremely long delays.A clinic is much better than this place.

I was in alot of pain in right hand/wrist. After a couple of different things to try to alleviate the pain, he injected me with a steroid. The pain subsided. Dr. Puig was so nice such a great bedside manor & so attentive. I highly recommend him. One stop shop, x-rays are also done there as well. Very short wait time.

My mother was seeing Dr. Puig for a rotator cuff injury. They tried physical therapy first, but by unsupervised assistants; never did the actual physical therapist make sure everything was going good. When my mother would complain about the pain the assistants were very rude and insensitive. The office refered my mother to the surgeon who works in the same building but still required her to check in with them and set up appointments for therapy after surgery; after my mother said she would do therapy at home ( which she has before and successfully recovered by a surgeon from san antonio) they told her " they could not guarantee her revovery". It all seriously seems like a monopoly praying on people who don't know how true professionals do business.

Excellent doctor! He is very thorough and his office offers complete continuity of care, from medical visit, x-rays, physical therapy and even orthopedic care!

Wouldn't trust any other physician with my knee.

Horrible care, yelled and screamed during my last visit for no reason other than I hired an attorney to assist with my disability retirement claim. He dropped me from his care in the middle of my case. Was unable to find another doctor to take over my claim. I would not refer this guy to my worst enemy! Beware if you see him for OWCP case.

He is a wonderful & caring Doctor.
