Yao Jen Chang's Online Review Report Card

Dr. YJ Chang is very energetic and organized. He has a lot of experience dealing with my urology issues. When I got so sick, my husband and I would miss our cruise, Dr. Chang wrote the cruise company a letter so we could postpone our trip. What other doctor would do that? He's just very caring and personable but straight to the point. We like that so we can make good decisions with good information. Thank goodness we met him and now we tell all our friends who need a great urologist!

I was really nervous about my condition. I was able to get into the office and see him. He explained my situation, put me at ease and told me about how to take care of it so it doesn't happen again. He even typed me a note to remind me about the basics so I don't forget. He really goes out of his way to me stay healthy. Thank you Dr. Chang ...

I am writing this review for my mother. I came with her to translate because she does not speak English. Dr. Chang was very patient and understanding and really made us feel important. He told me that he used to translate for his family when he was young and knows how difficult getting good medical care can be. He treated me with respect that most others haven't. He gave us a lot of good lifestyle changes and healthy living tips. My mother is so happy she had Dr. Chang to help her!

He was the right doctor for the right time when I needed him. I have seen other urologist in the past and always felt rushed before without a complete explanation. I came to see Dr. Chang and brought my papers with me. I sat down and reviewed the information and really enlightened me on my condition and how to best manage them. When I was desperate for help, he was the blessing for me. I felt so much better after he explained my situation and how to manage it.

Needed to see the Dr. for urinary tract issues. Dr. is professional and kind. My problem was taken care of with efficient questions, and great treatment plan. Very caring and great staff as well.

Made an appt. To see the Dr. for an issue I was experiencing, great visit! Was an excellent listener, not rushed and resolved my problem quickly. Great staff as well.

Dr. Chang saw me in the ER and explained my situation. I had developed cancer. He was very compassionate. Talked with my wife and family and then outline the course of care. I owe him a lot and appreciate his honesty and trust him very much. I tell all my friends about him and his office is even more busy! Sorry but can't keep this a secret.

My name is Cu and I had a urology problem but because I was not a native speaker, I had difficulty communicating with other urologists in town. Dr. Chang was the only one who spent the time to listen to me, explain my problem, drew pictures and showed me medical illustrations. He was very caring for me and I really appreciate how much time he puts into patients like me. Thank you.

Dr. YJ Chang has been a great doctor for me (and my family). He has a great sense of humor and shared his humble beginnings with me. He is very knowledgeable with great bedside manners. He explains complex concepts well and I am grateful I found him to do my surgery. It was a difficult surgery and he called me at home to check on me. I wish all my doctors can be like Dr. Chang. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

This is an excellent doctor who spends the time to talk about your questions and knows you because he has reviewed your chart prior to you coming in. My wife had him as her doctors before I came to see him. He called her prior to her visit to get additional information so he could come up with options that no other doctors mentioned. He does his homework, speaks in plain language and has a great sense of humor. I asked my family members who are nurses at our local hospitals - they tell me he's a great surgeon and solves problems that come up in surgery and he's very organized in surgery. Can't say enough about him - wished more doctors were like him!
